SOURCE: New labelwriter 400 turbo will not print under windows 2000

I had the same problem and accidently discover it was something very simple...at least in my case. I noticed the power cord connection was very good.. I notice the light on the transformer (cord) was sometimes green then it would go out. When I unplugged and then put some force into reconnecting the printer worked. Hope that helps.

Installing Dymo software on Vista can be a real nightmare if you fail installation at first time.

Call Dymo customer support, they will follow you step by step, ask you to download dymo uninstaller for your model, and tell you how to clean registry. They got used to this.

Goto this page :

http://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/DYMO-LabelWriter-400.html

And click the 2nd icon along (XP/Vista Drivers), make sure to read the documentation before trying the driver as only some 300 series labelwriters are supported. If you specific model number (label on the underside of the printer) is not listed then it will not work under Vista.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

I have just bought a new computer -vista-and my dymo 310 is not printing

SOrry to say this, but this is a direct quote from DYMO's website:

"Works with Windows 98, 2000, Me, XP and Mac OS X."

This model is discontinued.

I recommend the DYMO 400. It is the upgrade model to the 310, works with Vista, and is a good price at 139.99 USD.

Thanks,

Ernest
