I found the solution to this problem. You MUST be using Windows Media Player 10. Also, uninstall Microsoft User Driver pack found in add or remove programs.

After getting your Windows XP machine back to Media Player 10 you can then click the upgrade button. You may need to uninstall the Portable Media Center from Device manager if your plugged it in at the wrong time.

Solution: Have Windows Media Player 10, nothing higher or lower, and uninstall User driver pack.

Error 49.ff04 for hp cp 3525x

Normally caused by firmware.
This error can be caused by corrupted print
jobs, software applications issues, nonproduct
specific printer drivers, poor-quality
USB or network cables, bad network
connections or incorrect configurations,
invalid firmware operations, or unsupported
accessories.
Power cycle the printer. Try printing from a different application. If the error doesn't come back, it could have been caused by the other application. If it does return and you are sure that your cables(USB or network) are good, you will probably have to upgrade the firmware.

Ilo Mp3 player

Remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted. On the iLO, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the iLO will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank. An hourglass should appear on you computer and Windows should say, "Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500". Launch the Rave-MP firmware update program (Start>Programs>Rave-MP> Firmware) Click "Get Firmware". Select "iLO256" and let it download new firmware. Click "OK" when prompted. Click "Update Firmware". It will now search for the iLO. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient. After it has found the iLO, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait." The iLO should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen. The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start". It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the iLO and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the iLO! Why are you still reading this? Great, did something happen? Well, If the program fails to find the iLO and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the iLO drivers. This can be done by inserting the iLO cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again). Plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option though. IXUS 80 can you help...photos won't download.."COMMUNICATION ERROR"

This can be due to various reasons
1)The driver is corrupted: The camera's drivermay be corrupted. Uninstall the driver and any software and then connect the camera to the PC and then re-install the software.
OR
2)The USB cable might be faulty. Remove the memory card from the cam and try using a USB card reader(You can get one for 5$) and see if works. If it does may be then its time to buy a new USB cable for your cam.
3)Last but not least the cam's firware may been corrupted. Its pretty easy to flash the firmware so we can try it. Let me know if the above solutions worked or not so that we can try the firmware update
