The last expert is not familiar with the device. The battery is not changeable and there is no pinhole reset on the device. This is the Flip Video Ultra HD.

Neither of the two previous "experts" appear to be familiar with this specific device. I don't need someone to state the obvious. One more shot and if it does not help, i will assume FixYa's experts are generalists, not specialists.

Once the device is off, it will never be detected by the computer once you connect it to the USB port.

The problem could be a dead battery or loose connection inside. Another thing is corrupted program.

Try to replace the battery first if it's replaceable. But if not, contact the manufacturer and have them check for loose connection and let them reprogram your device.

These are the things that needs to be checked in order to isolate and fix the problem.

Have a great day!

This can be caused by power surges via usb. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and see what options they give you. There are also some troubleshooting guides on their website but I am sure you have tried all of the suggestions already.

Power surges happen thru USB all the time and cannot be seen. They kill devices everyday, printers, ipods, etc. I also recommend purchasing a mini surge protector with usb (see link). These are very helpful in controlling surges. They are used for charging the devices only.

You did not specify which brand and model are you referring too. Anyway, two things to consider here:

1. This usually happens when the battery is fried due to not doing the "safely remove" must-do on USB devices.

2. The battery was over charged. Try to change the battery.

If you plug into the usb slot of your computer, try to press the
Volume + button of your device to 5-8 seconds and see if it start to indicate something. Or do a reset by pressing a paper clip or any pointed object to a small hole on your device if any.

More importantly, if the device is still under warranty, it would be best to take it back and ask for a free service or replacement.

I hope this helps you. If not, please let me know.

Nikon s6300 won't turn on

Coolpix Cameras are tricky to use with chargers. I will assume your USB Charger EH-69P is 100 - 240V 50/60 Hz so it CAN work in many places around the world with an adapter. Do not go over 240V or you could damage it.

These cameras like to have the power supply connected when it is on to charge - meaning if you have it connected and you plug the charger in the wall it will NOT charge. So if you plug the charger in the wall first and then plug the cable in the camera it will work. The camera is actually ON when it charges and I never REMOVE the memory card when it is ON.

When you have a dead battery. Plug the camera in and make sure the ON LED lights and the Charge LED flashes. Then don't mess with it. Let it charge completely (Charge LED stops flashing and is OFF) and then unplug it. It will turn off. Then later you can turn it on.

Samsung N145 Plus battery charge failure

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

E system 1212 Laptop won't switch on. Power

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

No, it may take a little longer if you are charging through the USB port. I normally have mine plugged in while driving, it charges and is in use too. To use GPS with USB. First turn the GPS on (without USB plugged in). Press Battery symbol on screen for about 10 seconds, a test screen will come on. Plug in the USB (bottom of screen shows USB connected). Tap EXIT to return to maps. You can now use it while USB is charging Make sure you turn GPS off before removing the USB cable

TX IS DEAD

The T3 will appear dead until the battery has SOME charge. A totally dead battery, even though plugged into a charger, will not let the T3 turn on. You mention a previous charger problem. Could be a bad charger, or a bad battery. Check to see if the charging light is on on the T3 when you think you are charging. If it is not on, try another charger. If it is on, you may have a bad battery.
