Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

The buttons on the front stopped working, no display

The buttons on the front stopped working, light comes on inside but no display and no response from buttons except when I press the buttons at the top of the panel all 0000 then blank doesn't stay lit up, can't get the thing to actually go on to cook. I had just finished heating something up and went to put something else in when I noticed it was all black on the display and then none of the buttons would work. I purchased this model in 11/2009, so less than a year ago.

It is still under warrantee if under a year. Contact your dealer who you bought it from-it should be repaired or replaced free of charge.

Bare ile bo100 microwave won't go keypads seem to be ceased lights ok on display pls help

You can try unplugging the oven for at least 15 minutes to see if the control panel will reset on its own.

If that doesn't fix it, you might have a bad control panel, or oven may not be properly grounded.

Frigidaire microwave

Check fuse inside microwave oven (usually 8-10-12 A) on power supply board or main board, depending on model.

Why won't my microwave oven work?

No, it's not worth the effort required to replace the control module - unless it is a commercial model.

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.
