SOURCE: camera batteries drain quickly

Open the battery door and check the contact between the camera and the batteries. Most often then not there is just a bad contact and it's ruinning your baterry life.
Make sure that the contact are well placed and that there is no rust or dirt build up around there.

SOURCE: Batteries fail in very short time

I had the same problem but I fixed it by buying 2 rechargable CRV3 batteries and the charger. At the time such batteries were not common, so although I got a brand that I never heard of (CTA) and they have been great, They last a long time and power is no longer an issue.

I have a Sanyo Xacti VPC-E60 EX Digital Camera.

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My Fujifilm FinePix AV100 12MP Digital Camera battery easily gets discharge or Low Battery even the battery is fully charged and new, what do you think the problem might be???

Welcome to FixYa.

First thing we need to verify is what type of battery are you using.

The Capacity of rechargeable Ni-MH batteries may be temporarily reduced when new, after long periods of disuse, or if they are repeatedly recharged before being fully discharged. Capacity can be increased by repeatedly discharging the batteries using the DISCHARGE option and recharging them in a battery charger. Do not use this option with non-rechargeable batteries.

Also possible reason why your battery easily discharge if:

* battery are cold
-warm the battery by placing them in your pocket or other warm place.
* ther is a dirt on the battery terminals
-clean the terminals with soft and dry cloth
* the camera is always on AUTO mode
- choose different shooting mode

I hope this information will help on your issues.
Feel free to send us your comments or suggestion if this solution is helpful.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My camera want stay on it just keep turning off what should i do

This sounds like a low battery problem. Either replace the batteries with fresh ones (if they are replaceable) or recharge. If the battery won't recharge then it may have come to the end of its life.

Even with new batteries, the camera turns off after a few seconds

Be sure you have real fresh Alkaline batteries or fresh recharched NiMh batteries.
The best rechargeable batteries are the ENELOOP (from Sanyo), these have a very, very low discharge, so after a week the camera still works without the problem of turning off after a few seconds.

Sanyo camera battery

US and worldwide seller:Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeable Battery 2x AA HR-3UTG-2BP

UK and Europe seller:Sanyo HR-3UTG-2BP - Eneloop batteries 2 pack ..

Japan: Amazon.co.jp: SANYO HR-3UTG-2B

To find sellers near to you put battery serial number on google. Serial for original Sanyo batteries is HR-3UTG-2BP

Any other rechargable Li-Ion battery with same spacs, and also alkaline will work. Using original replacement from Sanyo is a better choice.

Flash won't work when it's cold outside. Camera shuts off by itself.

How cold? Most rechargeable batteries will not work properly much below 0 degrees Centigrade. If it is much colder than that, it is likely that the batteries are shorting out and the camera is not getting enough current.

Try keeping the camera warm until you use it (under clothing, in a pocket etc.)
