Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
2days ago i droped my ps2 (not slim line but old one) though it didn't appear damaged its draw sometimes gets stuck and it won't read discs. itsnot been used for a while and now i want it to work. been told it could be a bit dirty and there does seem to be a fair bit of dust inside but i'm not sure of how to open the outer case to clean it fully or clean the lazer. can someone please help me. diagrams might help more than just telling me?
My playstation's green light blinks when I turn it on but nothing happens. The light flashes on and off (flickers) but disk area doesn't spin and does not do anything.

I wouldn't open the outer case if you are just interested in doing a cleaning. You can purchase a cd cleaner kit that allows you to put a disc inside that cleans the lens. Otherwise the first step i would take is buy a can of compressed air and blow the dust out of the system. See if this improves the situation before opening the system.

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
