Netgear EN104tp

cable from router plugged directly into computer works fine, so cable is good. Plug cable from router into port4... plug good tested cable from hub port 1 into computer.
on port 1 the green LED light is constantly on. The RX light blinks occasionally.

on port 4....no lights at all.

This had been working for quite some time and just stopped.

SOURCE: Netgear FR114P with Netgear DS108 not working

DNeser, Port forwarding and static routes isn?t the route to go down to fix this issue. I have an FR114 in a similar configuration and yours should work as well. -When connecting a hub to a router you should be using a certified, standard Ethernet cable, not a crossover. Make sure it?s certified for at least 100 Mbps. -If you are using port 8 on the hub to connect to the router make sure the Normal/Uplink button is set to Normal. -Are the Link and 100 Mbps LED green on both the hub and router ports you use to connect? If not try a known good cable; if that doesn?t work try different ports. Let us know how things work out and please don?t forget to rate this post.

SOURCE: DGL-4300 resets every few seconds

Try the following:
1. Hook up your router like you want it to be
2. After the WAN/Wireless lights turn off we want to HARDRESET your router.
3. There will be a small hole that requires a pen or paper clip to press...Hold this down for about 15 seconds, or untill the power light flashes on your router.

This might take care of it.

let me know.

SOURCE: hi,lost laptop wireless connection to

try setting the channel to 11, but it depends on your location, for the best connection try finding the right channel that suites your locations.

sometimes there are alot of devices that can interfere with the signal coming from the router.

for your reference try this link for wireless range.

SOURCE: Linksys routetr problem

HI,
The problem can be caused, because of two reasons, one the router profile on the computer has got corrupted and second the router itself. Have you tried resetting the router to factory defaults.. Caution: all wireless security settings and user name and passwords would go back to factory defaults.

1.Disconnect all cable from the back of the router.
2. Shut down your computer and the DSL box
3.Press the reset button, using a paper clip at the back of the router.Keep it pressed for 5 seconds
4. Disconnect the power cord to the router
5. Switch on the Dsl box, wait for the lights to stablize
6. Reconnect the interenet cable and the power cable to the router and power it on.
7 Let the lights stabalise on the router and power on the computer.

Check if that resolves the problem, if not we might need to update the router.

Thanks
Proton

My Netgear FS605 stopped working. All lights flashing about 1x/sec. No change in cabling or configuration in past year. Upstream Linksys N wireless router working fine. Tried disconnectring ethernet...

Are you able to ping between systems connected to the same Netgear FS605 switch and in same VLAN.
I suspect either switch port or Uplink cable issue.
Please try changing a new cable and if no improvement then please try with a different switch port.

You can add more ethernet ports by purchasing a 4 port hub or 8 port hub.
Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear wireless router to one of the ports on the hub and then connect the other computers to the ports on the hub.

Twice after using Google's gmail video chat with our RP614, our internet access stopped. I had to recycle the power on the RP614 each time. Is this a known issue?

I can't think of a connection between the two events, esp if it happened only twice. I own a similar Netgear router (wi-fi tho and not DSL), and find it very reliable.

Two cimputers online at once with Netgear EN104TP

If you're asking if two computers can be online at once when using this unit, then the answer is yes, they can.

If you're confused as to why two computers can get online at once with that unit, well... That's what it's supposed supposed to do.

Limited or no conncetivity?

Seems to be issue with the switch. If you can get internet after bypassing the switch then it is for sure an issue with the switch. try connecting the cable to other ports of the switch.

If it still does not work then it is time for you to replace the switch.

Rate it,if it helps.

Open Port 81 on Netgear Switch

Actually you need to open the port on the cable modem / router. Switches just pass the packets along.
