Question about Saeco Primea Cappuccino Touch Plus Coffee Maker

No milk or frothy milk being dispensed

Hi, just bought a new Primera Touch Plus. Very excited about a decent cup of coffee but when I selected any of the coffees that require milk / frothy milk, no milk is dispensed.

I have removed the dispensor / adaptor from the milk container and inspected. Even tried turning the little white wheel (what does it do?) many times in each direction. No change.

How does the milk dispenser work - is there a pump that pulls the milk out of the container, or is it the capilary action of the hoht steam 'draws' it out?

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info, but I spent 2 hours with it last night and not one drop of milk came out - only water. Twisted the white wheel back and forth with no results. Cleaned the milk cycle 3 times too.

I think the pump must be faulty. So taking it back and requesting a different one - definately not a Saeco. Been looking at and there are multitudes of problems with the milk and froth dispenser. Extremely p*ssed as this was a very expensive machine.

Milk may not be frothed optimally. In these cases simply turn the flow regulator as shown in the figure.
Turn the regulator 2-3 times to perform a quick maintenance.
Note: If the assembled regulator is missing, replace it with the other 3 regulators provided.
There is a pump

Jum.. a coffee machine.. there is no milk dispenser in those.. other wise you could end up with cheese in the milk storage..

you put the milk normally, well.. you serve in the cup and add liquid milk, it doesnt matter if its cold.. thats what the steamer is for... to heat the milk at fast speed..

there must be a button to let the steam out, and the knob is to control the strength of the steam... you must wait some time for the steamer to charge a bit, and then is where you turn that wheel to let the steam out..

by the way.. if you want to make frothy milk with your machine, heres how:

First of all, make sure you use cold milk (if you're refrothing warm
milk, add an ice cube or two). Secondly, semi-skimmed is the best milk
to use. Dip the nozzle in the milk (jug no more than 1/2 full) so that
it is at an angle and only just under the surface of the milk. Turn on
the steam and gently let the milk begin to spin and bubble (if it spits
milk at you, the nozzle isn't in far enough). Move the jug up and down
gently to create more froth. Finally, stick the nozzle right in to heat
    the milk at the bottom.

All you need is practice. The true test of a good froth is being able to make a snowman on the top of the coffee.

Cappuccinatore Milk Temperature on Saeco Royal Pro Machine

First open it up and run it without any milk attached until just mostly steam is coming thru. Turn off - then drop the tube into a jug of milk which is locted below the outlet. If its steaming, the milk will be heated up ok - it may need flow adjusting - lift the thin 'plug' near the tube up and down to adjust flow. You can add to the froth by lifting the tube out of the milk for a moment then back in again a few times.

To clean the unit just run clean water tru as tho it was milk until it comes out totally clear (about 1/4 cup). For hygiene sake make sure the tube is wiped clean on the outside with a clean paper each and every time when finished.
You can flush your main coffee lines out by making out its doing a large preground coffee - but don't put any preground in.

Select preground - select large coffee and go. Pays also to remove the brew unit and wash in warm water once a week - saves coffee goo building up and causing it to stick.
