Just installed a new belt and the dryer still squeaks when it starts. The noise goes away after it runs a few minutes.

Drum squeaks on rotation. can drum be lubed?

would not lube the drum but the two small wheels that the drum rotates on sometimes their "axles" get dry and rusty and will squeak. Put some antisieze on them and see if the noise goes away.

The engine in my automatic '91 Integra intermittently makes a loud squeaking noise...it sounds to be coming from the left side of the car under the hood. It is not the fan/fan belt, as the noise...

are you sure its not your fan belts? because if fan belts are not turning, it means that the engine is off. check if the tension in your fan belts are still ok. if not, have it re tensioned. if noise is still present, have it changed.

Dryer squeaks when you start. warms up it goes away

It may be one of the tensioner pulley wheels either starting to fall apart or the spindle it runs on in need of a little grease. They often start off squeaking until they've warmed up a little. Then the noise goes away after 5 minutes or so.

It could be the rear drum bearing, or the belt needs replacement.

Dryer

Your machine uses a belt tensioner of the type that the belt 'glides' on, creating a squeak noise that #1 will get worse and #2 is wearing out the belt. Replace the old tensioner with the one pictured here. The squeak will go away and the belt will last longer.
