SOURCE: KODAK M753 LENSE ERROR 122,1,0,0

I had this problem too, my camera just randomly stopped working and shut off. When I tried to turn it on again it said the whole 'lens error' bit and then shut of. The lens looked a bit crocked so I just gently tried to straighten it out and ta-da! Good as new!

SOURCE: Kodak M1033 lens comes out but will not go back

Here are the steps: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable. SOURCE: keeps shutting off and turning back on by itself

Try using a liquid contact cleaner. I read about this fix on another site, worked great for me.
A product called DeoxIT in the U.S. is what was suggested, I am in Canada and can't get that here so I picked up a product from a company called NexxTech. Just a liquid contact cleaner.
Take out the battery of the camera. Put a few small drops of the contact cleaner on the power button and let it drip down into the switch. Rotate the on/off switch back and forth 5-10 times, put the battery back in and Voila! Fixed!
No more random on/off irritations, camera works just like it did before the problem started a few weeks ago.
It worked great for me.
Good Luck!

Lens won't retract

Lens probably does not extend or retract because of debris or a misaligned gear box. The lens can in about 50% of the cases be repaired without having to replace it. Try to return to manufacturer first. If you're out of warranty, there are third party place that fix them such as camera lens repairs. If you want to do it yourself, there are also free camera repair guide websites that show you how to replace the lens, the replacement part is usually available on ebay.

Lens Error

Two posibilities : either the gear box needs attention or the lens itself is impacted . The first problem is not so expensive to sort out by your repair outfit but the impacted lens problem is expensive ( may require replacing lens assy. ). Anyway camera has to go in I am affraid.

Kodak c643

Either the lens is impacted ( usually dropping the camera ) and the whole lens assambly must be replaced ( generally too expensive on entry level cameras ) OR the gear box needs attention : this is not so expensive to repair but must be done by someone trained.
