How to make a 1.5 x 7 inch wooden disc with common tools and can't leave any holes in the surface of the disc. Any sugestions ?

I found that if I use a bigger lathe that has jaws large enough it will hold the block of wood and if I make it at least 2 or more inches thick I can make my disc and can remove the excess wood by turning it. This will give me the most accurate form I need.

My dvd is broken, i think my son put another dvd while another one is inside... can you help

You will have to disasemble DVD player to retrieve DVD discs. On some players there maybe a small hole on front or side to dislodge discs. Put a wooden or plastic pin in hole to release discs.
Good luck.

Details dimensions of clothes washer for the bleends at the back for ducting porpose.

Hole in my wall

If the hole is less than an inch diameter: use a hammer to tap the hole edge to bevel around the entire hole. Using the screen type drywall seam tape, cut the tape slightly smaller than the beveled area. Apply drywall spackle or compound to the hole, flush with the surrounding surface, then gently press in the tape evenly. Let it dry (6-8 hours), then lightly sand or wipe over with a damp sponge. Now apply a final coat of compound flush to the wall surface. Touch up with paint.

If large, say 6" or more: get a friend that does drywall to do the repair unless you have woodworking experience! Short of that respond to this FixYa and I can walk you through it.

Digger support

Search local home and garden stores to find a post hole digger. Many department stores sell post hole diggers too. A local greenhouse or tractor supply store is also a good place to look for a post hole digger. Decide on he type of digger you'll need for the job. Although post hole diggers come in different sizes and types, they generally dig the same size hole. Know that it takes a lot of strength to dig holes with a post hole digger, but there are a diggers available with special features that allow someone not quite as strong to use the digger too. Pick up and examine the different post hole diggers while you're shopping. Compare the feel and weight of the tools. Pretend to dig holes and see how it handles. Compare the features and designs of different post hole diggers. Most are manufactured from fiberglass or steel, but some have a different shaped handles for specific digging jobs. Determine if you'd rather have a fiberglass handle or a wooden one. Fiberglass is lighter and more resistent to sun damage than wooden handles. Select a post hole digger based on your preferences, the job required and who'll be using the tool. Plan to spend more on a post hole digger that's made from steel or for heavy duty use. The range for a post hole digger is generally under $50.

Masonry Jointer Usage

While the final effects of a stone or concrete wall are stunning, the work to make it beautiful is time-consuming and difficult. Tools are very important in masonry work. Having the right tools for a certain job make all the difference. Jointers come in many different sizes and shapes. Learn the various types and how to use them and you can make quick work of a difficult task. Use an e-jointer for narrower spaces between the stones. There is no handle on the e-jointer, making it easier to smooth and shape the joints between the stones. Whenever your hand is closer to the surface, you can exert more control. Get a bead jointer for raised masonry bricks. These jointers come in two sizes, 1/4-inch by 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch by 1/2-inch. They are small, strong, simple tools that can chip off the excess of a joint that is sticking up off the brink. You do not want to make a deep joint between raised bricks. Change your joint tool to a brick masonry mortar joint raker tool if you are making your project from rougher materials, such as adobe brick or split stone. This tool has many more grooves, which will fit in various sized joints. Turn it on the end for narrow joints and use the curved notch for more intricate patterns between the stones. Switch to a grapevine mortar jointer for very clean lines between the bricks. This tool is used primarily for a colonial look, which is even and measured. Your can get this jointer with a wooden handle for a more even grip.
