Question about Nikon COOLPIX L100 Digital Camera
i got this nikon coolpix L100 just a couple of days back and put in new batteries (alkaline type)..
within the very same day the camera observed that it was running on low battery. I replaced the batteries with another set of new ones and still it notified me that it was running low on charge and within after a few more shots it said battery exhausted.I double checked with another four new batteries but the problem persisted.
did i miss something on the manual ? or is there some technical hitch ?
otherwise the camera works fine .
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Did you go in and change the battery type in the camera from alkaline to Ni-MH? This fixed the problem for me. It is on page 111 in the manuel (or menu button to setup menu to battery type).

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
You can also use software such as Nikon Transfer instead of drag&drop. You can get the latest versions of all Nikon software from http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61
