Check the light of the WLAN on the Noteboot. Does it go off or Oragne? Check the drivers in Device Manager for the Wireless Driver. Update the Bios from hp.com and Reinstall the Driver for Wireless. The Light Should Stay on.

How to wire dual switch

Plug a ethernet cable from any port on the first switch to any port on the second switch. Thats pretty much it. If it's a managed switch then it's dependent of how you have the managed switch configured. Managed switches typically cost several hundred to several thousand dollars so if your just running cheap switches then the above applies.

As long as it still has 2 hi limit switches, this will be easy.

You will need one wire going from one limit switch to the other. (on any terminal)
take either of the incoming wires from the old limit wiring and connect to second terminal on either limit switch.
Now take the last remaining wire and connect ot to the last terminal on the second limit switch.

Basically, you are just creating a bridge. Power will go into first limit switch, then go into the second limit switch via the first wire indicated above. Then the power will go back out to the pc board. If a high limit switch trips, then power is cut off (cicuit opens) and it tells the cpu there is a problem and shuts down the heater.

So to simplify: connect the wire in between the two limit switches. Then put the other 2 wires anywhere.

Just hooked up the KVM cable and when I switch to the second computer, the mouse and keyboard do not work. Can someone help me with this?

Sounds like there's a bad connection on the second computer, may just have to plug another mouse/keyboard in.
(I sometimes use a wireless usb keyboard/mouse combo)

I would add a second switch. Jumper the present black wire to feed both switches and then use 14-3 to go to the light with black wire and the fan with the red wire. You can get the double switches in a type that will fir in asingle box. They are the double switches that are one above the other where the levers are horizontal. hope this helps you. Jeepfxr

Connectioning a second pc on another level in my home

hi
I think you will need one "Switch" (name of device - which is used to provide connections for more than 5 computers at a time)

So in the market there are variety of switches available like 5 port switch (for 5 computers) 8 port switch (for 8 computers) like wise.

So you need to purchase switch.

You can use alternate for switch is HUB (same as above)

So once you are done with that, let me know so that we can proceed further with configuration of you network (for 3 computers)

Kvm switch won't stay on second computer, switches back

You might try disabling any power saving schemes in use on either computer. The KVM (I believe) gets its power through the ports and one computer may be shutting down power.
