I can't open the case on my Medion desktop PC. I've undone the screws along the edge, but the side panel doesn't get any looser.

Almost all HP desk tops have a removable side panel. On this model it should be the right side. There will be a silver screw on the rear edge of the panel, loosen it and the panel will slide to the rear.

Open emachines el1352g-41w

Open the eMachines EL1352G-41W computer case?

Unplug the computer from power. Unplug all cables. Turn the computer tower around so the back faces you.

Look at the Left side. This Side Panel removes.
There is a handle for your fingers, formed out of the Side Panel's sheet metal.

Above the handle along the edge, and towards the Top, there is a Philips head screw. Loosen this screw. (It isn't supposed to come all the way out)
Down below the handle, and towards the bottom, is another Philips head screw. Loosen this screw.

Use the handle in the Side Panel, to pull back on it. Pull towards the back of the computer tower.

The Side Panel may only pull back so far. There may be tabs which stick out of the Side Panel, and go into slots in the computer tower's case.

For this style the Side Panel will only pull back approximately 1 inch, or so.
Then the Side Panel is brought straight out away from the computer tower, and laid aside.

[ NOTE*
Do NOT forget to observe Anti-Static Precautions BEFORE reaching inside your computer, and working on it.

Computer on a table, computer unplugged from power, computer case open.
TOUCH an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of the open computer case.
This action will relieve your body of Static.

Should you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to Touch the metal frame again upon your return.

C'ant open the case of my pc

Look in the back of the PC. there are often several easily accessible screws on the outside edge of the steel backing. Remove all the ones close to the edge and attempt to slide the side of the computer back, depending on the method they used to build it you should just have to pull back and up when it comes loose.

How to open gateway 300c desktop

There are several casings. You'll just have to pick one that fits your computer. Before you begin anything. Turn off your computer and remove the power cable. New Midtower Case 1 Look for a release handle on the top of the new midtower case. 2 Push the release handle inward. 3 Swing the case down from the top to open it. Microtower Case 1 Lay the computer down so that the left side is face up. 2 Locate two cover release levers on the back of the case toward the middle of the left side panel. 3 Squeeze the release levers together, then lift the panel up, swinging it away from the back of the case. Old Midtower Case 1 Lay the computer on its side, so that the left side panel is face up. 2 Remove any retaining screws along the left side of the back of the case that are holding the panel in place. These screws may be removed with your fingers. 3 Locate two release levers at the top and bottom of the back side of the case, and push them away from each other. 5 Swing the panel up and away from the case to open it while holding the release levers.

I need a Compaq Presario 5713 manual on how to open the case .

Typically desktop PCs have 4 to 6 phillips case screws that fasten the outer metal skin to the back of the case chassis. These can be found by looking at the back of the PC and following the skin edge until you find each screw. The screws are typically near the corners and halfway between top and bottom. Once removed, the outer skin will slide back and then lift up. In tower PCs, only the left side (facing the PC) has to come off requiring only two or three screws to be removed. Panel will then slide back and fall away. Reconnecting case or panel may require aligning rails or hooks and sliding towards front. Reapply screws.

Opening front of AAspire M3201 case

The front panels usually are held in place with tabs. Take off the left side panel first, then the top and right side should slide off. You will need to remove any screws along the back and top edges first.
Good luck.

Want to add RAM 1GB to my compac 6400nx but unable to remove the cover how is this done

Hi,
Opening the case
Use the following steps to open the case: WARNING: The edges of metal panels can cut skin. Be careful not to slide skin along any interior metal edge of the computer. CAUTION: This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). To reduce the chance of ESD damage, work over a non-carpeted floor, use a static dissipative work surface (like a conductive foam pad), and wear an ESD wrist strap connected to a grounded surface.
  1. Unplug all cables except for the power. Write down each cable location if you do not already know where it connects.
  2. Unplug the power cable and with the power cable removed press the Power button.
  3. Remove the screws on the rear of the desktop (Your PC case may appear different than the images in this document). Figure 1: Example of screws for the side panel c00371471.jpg
  4. Slide the side panel off from the rear of the desktop. Figure 2: Removing the side panel
Thanks proton

  3. Remove the screws that attach the side panel to the computer. Do not remove other screws, such as the power supply screws, that are also located on the back of the computer. c00371492.jpg
  4. Slide the left-side panel towards the rear of the PC to remove it. c00371493.gif
  5. If the front of the drive is blocked by an extra door that is part of the case, remove the front cover. You may have to remove the opposite side panel in order to access the front cover. Press in on the tabs that retain the front cover, there should three to four on each side of the cover and gently pull forward. It helps to have a friend help with this process. Carefully detach any cables that may also be attached to the front cover.
