Question about Troy Bilt 5.5hp Self Propelled Mower
I have replaced both drive belts and the problem remains. I see a lot of gear oil on the rear differential so it's my guess that something in the rear differential is causing the problem.
Your bevel gear forward my be out or you input shaft gear my be slipping. check your vauble drive pully sys make sure your bearing are not bad and you may check your belt to see if you have flat spots. if you have a lot greas your seals are out axles. ther are no gaskets used on this trany body. sealint only
