"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

F 02 I reset it to drain and spin for the first load. already took the bottom panel off and cleaned out the white container. still not working for the second load, still flashing F02.

f02 means long drain. something is stopping it from draining. takes the pump out and look in at the impeller, something could be caught in it

Kenmore HE3 front loader keeps getting F02 error message, most often when I wash towels. I was able to workaround by pulling half the load, but that no longer does the trick.

Long Drain

F02

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

Stopping mid cycle and won't spin

"F02" is a Long Drain error. This is usually caused by debris build up in the drain pump. The following link explains the error and what to do:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

The washer will not complete a cycle if it senses a condition that generates an error code. Follow the advice in the link provided and you should be okay. Now...it doesn't take much to cause irrepairable damage to the drain pumps in these washers. If you do everything I suggest and the error code returns, it is recommended that you replace the drain pump. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you require additional assistance.
