I know when you plug a computer into a projector, you have to not only set it up on the projector, but on the computer as well. Make sure the computer is set up for one of your multi-screen modes as well as the tv.

I can watch a movie from my computer to tv but the sound only came from the computer not on the tv

if you want the sound from tv, get an audio cable and put one end to computer where the speakers connected and the other to the audio input or aux in back of tv.

Monitor says mode not supported

Yes the resolution your trying to display on your TV is not supported by your TV so you computer is warning you before doing damage to your TV. there are certain modes you can use and calling the manufacture or reading the manul will tell you what modes you can place this monitor in and then change it in the display menu of you operating system. the monitor is not the problem its the mode you in is not supported by your monitor so to not risk it your computer is telling oyu that is not supported so please look at the manual and go with the support it tells you.

VG4 mode on Insignia 19" widescreen LCD wont accept computer

go to your control panel of your computer (using a different monitor obviously) and change your screen resolution to 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, or 1440x900. any of those resolutions should work. also go to advanced and make sure it is set at 60 herz.

Insignia LCD TV won't recognize computer input...

Heres the dealyo.
Click start button
Click control panel
Click display
Click settings
adjust screen resolution (probably have to go down) until the tv displays your computer
if this did not work, you will have to adjust bit rate from 32 to 16. Fiddle with the settings until the magic happens.
You will not get any sound unless you use an audio jack plugged into t.v.
