Question about Panasonic PT-47WX42 47" Rear Projection Television
I have read in numerous places that it may be better to move up to the 392-180 when replacing my ic's since the 392-110 is relatively old style, is this true and would it be ok on my Panasonic TH-46PZ80U.
Thanks for using FixYa. Before performing any repairsplease unplug the TV for 1-2 hrs to let the current drain. And remember that TVcontains very high voltages even in OFF state. It is recommended to replaceSTK392-110 convergence IC with a 392-150 instead of 392-180 which will alsowork equally well in comparison with 392-150 but it may reduce the life of theTV. You may also see this link for reference and ordering STK IC on line.
You can see the step-by-step procedure on the followinglink for replacing it---
