Full Duplex Hi there. I have a ZyWall 35 Firewall and its set to Half-Duplex, and i cannot for the life of me find where to change it to Full-Duplex. Or the fastest speed possible. I do not have access to the firewalls command line, but i have the GUI interface up. Could you tell me where to go to change this?

By default, I think these come with auto-sensing turned on, but I may be mistaken.. do not have one available, but do have the manual link if you need it:

I reviewed the entire document and did not see a section on configuring duplex, although it may be in the Bandwidth section.. since they do not show all the configs, I am not sure....

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

NAT session table is full

For each connection (TCP or UDP) that your firewall manages to NAT (ie network translate) keeps track on a in memory table. If it gets full means you've too many open connections. This is often the case when using P2P programs such as Torrent, eMule etc.

You can:
1) reduce the connection usage on the P2P application
2) reduce the connection timeout, in order to force the firewall to close stalled connections, recovering some free entry on the nat table
3) upgrade the appliance to something more heavy duty. Any box running pfSense for example could be a good choice: the web GUI is quite similar to the ZyWall one, but the software is both free and more powerful...

How do i configure my D-Link from half duplex to full duplex

By default switch ports are in auto negotiation mode that means it will auto negotiates with the other end device for the speed and duplex settings.

If you want to hardcode the switch port to full duplex then you need to log into the switch management console and under the interface settings change the duplex to full for the inetrface.

My dad is death and I don't now the password ov ZyWALL 2 plus..please help me... im ITALIAN

Hello there,
Im sorry for your father, by the way if you forget / lost your password(cannot access the web configurator you will need to reload the factory-default configuration file or use the RESET button on the back of the ZyWALL. Uploading this configuration file replaces the current configuration file with the factory-dafault configuration file. This means that you will lose all configurations that you had previously and the speed of the console port will be reset to the default of 9600bps with 8 data bit, no parity, one stop bit and flow control set to none. The password will be reset to 1234, also.

The procedure to use the reset button
Make sure the SYS LED is on ( not blinking) before you begin this procedure.
  1. Press the RESET button for 10 seconds, and then release it. The ZyWALL restarts with the defaults restored. Otherwise, go to step2.
  2. Turn the ZyWALL off.
  3. While pressing the RESET button, turn the ZyWALL on.
  4. Continue to hold the RESET button. The ZyWALL restarts with defaults restored.
  5. Release the RESET button and wait for the ZyWALL to finish restarting.
Hope it help and have a nice day,

Routing problem

I don't know if this will help because I don't see what you and seeing but here is an idea: In every routing scenario I have experienced, you must specify a default gateway with a specific IP address. only points to the device itself, not the other WANS. The gateway IP addresses should be statically assigned. If there is DHCP involved, insure that the gateway address is not part of the DHCP scope but in an excluded range of reserved addresses. For SMTP to work the gateways (and you should have 2 or 3) must be properly configured and TCP port 25 enabled.
