From what I understand you are charging with the USB cable. Did you leave it in at least for 3 hours (the PC also has to be on and not in standy or hibernation mode)? Do the glasses charge with the wall charger?

Make sure the volume is not set too low to hear.
Make sure there are song files stored on THUMP.
Connect THUMP to your computer
and open the
folder that shows the contents
of the THUMP

Plug the Oakley Thump into the computer to let it charge for 3 hours - a connector cable should have been provided. Double-click on My Computer - your computer should have assigned it a drive letter. Double click on the right drive letter - most computers will actually label it an Oakley. Look for a folder called Music. Now you must find songs in mp3 format only that are already downloaded on your computer. Drag the music files from the folder where your music files are stored into the music folder of the Oakley.
Not the easiest unit for beginners, but a neat concept.
I have often had the same problem. Resetting the software enabled me to recover. Press and Hold the Play/Pause (center) button and the Previous Song/Rewind (rear) button•at the same time. I held it for about 5 seconds. Then I released both buttons, then pressed the Play/Pause for about 1-2 seconds, the unit powered up and I was able to connect and charge the unit.
