I purchased my XBox 360 from overseas (chipped) & some of the games is asking for a code before it can start. Do you know what code they are asking?

Unless you've modded your xbox it will not play burned games. There's a second layer of data that burning will not add that exists on the original discs. The Xbox is looking for this second layer of data to verify that the disc is original.

NHL 08 for the 360 doesn't ask for a code when you put in the game. I'm presuming it's asking for the code to your gamertag. Enter this code or choose a different gamertag. If you don't know the code, you can select another gamertag (or create a new one) or delete the profile but if you want to keep your save files just choose delete profile (rather than delete profile and everything else).

You can recover this profile later if you have the ID and password (there's a recover gamertag option in the dashboard [press the big X button]).

If you want to delete the profile, go to my xbox then system settings
select memory then all devices
select gamer profiles and select the one you want and then select delete then delete profile only

Are you SURE you bought the game new. If your positive, then you need to contact customer support for microsoft and ask them about it and why it's not working.

One more thing, you should never post a code like that on an open forum setup like this. You never know if you might have done something wrong, and now you've posted your code for someone else to steal. Don't wanna do that my friend ;)

Code E74 1 red light flashing and error message on screen right? It is the scaler chip, it happens because the scaler chip starts overheating. If you stop the heat build up on the chips then you should be fine.

You might be starting to have problems with your HANA chip. You can purchase a heat sink for it on ebay with instructions on how to install it. Fairly easy fix. Good luck!

Sounds like a problem with the 360's graphics chip. You might want to phone microsoft support or take it to a 360 repairer.

Ask someone else from your region and e-mail it to you.

its not the account just the hard drive. make a new xbox live account.

I think you are asking if you can play a modded xbox on xbox live. The answer is yes but eventually xbox will determine that you are playing on a modded system and ban you from live. After you are banned you will have to buy another membership and a new name.
