Without getting inside it , i would tend to believe its the inline fuse just beyond the wire harness.

If there are no fuses or circuit breakers, the unit could be down and out. Check you power box for any tripped breakers.

Plmvz169gcc lost power

The service manual is here.

It may be a defective 20A fuse, a blown magnetron temperature fuse, or a problem on the control circuit board, which can be economically repaired.

There is a YouTube video here showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Once the controller is off, you should be able to access the magnetron's temperature fuse for testing and possible replacement.

You can order parts from the Pros here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

My fridgidaire microwave just completely lost all power out of the blue. Could it be a blown fuse in the microwave itself?

Hello,
It very well could be a blown fuse. I assume you checked power at the plug and checked the breaker. Also I assume and over the range micro. To get to the fuse you need remove the grille above the door then you should see a screw holding the control panel in place. Remove that screw and tip the panel out and you should see the fuse ( sometimes two) just inside the cabinet. remember to unplug or turn off the breaker before doing any repairs. you can goto - http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action - to find a parts breakdown and order parts. Good Luck

Chek the high voltage capacitor and the diode . If one of them are short there is a chance for tripping the breaker

Microwave lost all power when I pressed start

Plug a lamp into the circuit where the Microwave is plugged in. If the lamp comes on then you know there is power supplied to the microwave and the problem is one of an internal nature. If your light does not come on then your breaker at the main power panel could have tripped. On each breaker is a number which is its rating in amps. Your Microwave may require a 20 amp circuit.

No power from Whirlpool.

IF YOU HAVE THE MICRWAVE PLUGGED IN AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPS IMMEDIATELY WHEN SET,
CHECK THE DOOR HOOKS THAT TRIP THE DOOR SWITCHES. BOTH SHOULD BE SPRING LOADED. THERE SHOULD BE TWO HOOKS ON THE DOOR. IF O.K., CHECK THE DOOR SWITCHES. THERE ARE AT LEAST THREE. IF ONE OF THEM IS SHORTED CLOSED,
THE MONITOR SWITCH WILL CAUSE A DEAD SHORT ACROSS THE FUSE. THE FUSE MAY BE HOLDING BETTER THAN YOUR CIRCUIT BREAKER.
