Question about Shop Vac 925-13 Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum
Do I need to use the filter to suck up water from a carpet? More like moisture than large volumn. I have an older 32 gal. model 758.17871
I'm assuming you have a paper filter. If so, take it out to **** up water. The water will ruin the paper filter.Usually they will dry if you put it out to dry but there isn't any reason to keep it in the vac for water. Depending on what you are sucking up with it, if you are indoors especially, monitor the "blowing hole" when you start to make sure it is not throwing dirt out. If what you are sucking is mostly water then it should not do that.

I would suggest it if it gets dirty muddy you can always clean the filter alot easier than replaceing vac
