It sounds like the motor is going bad. If it is electric, it may be time for a new one. If it is gas powered; It may be time for a engine rebuild.

"Print Mechanism"

When the paper is picked up by the pickup roller the paper crosses a sensor that tells the machine that the paper has fed from the tray. The sensor is an infra-red light emitting diode and an infra-red receiver placed in a small plastic "U" shaped body so that the light emitting diode and the receiver are looking at each other. It is located in the throat of the paper path (where the paper first enters the machine from the tray. A plastic "tab" (sensor flag) sticks up in the "U" to tell the machine that there is no paper in the path. When the paper was pulled out from the front of the machine, the "tab" (sensor flag) was either displaced from the sensor body (U) or it was broken off by the paper, so now the light emitting diode can be "seen" by the receiver and the machine thinks that there is paper in the paper path. If you know someone who is mechanically inclined,k they can remove the cover from the machine and either reposition the sensor flag into the sensor body, or if it is broken off, glue the sensor flag back together.

Good Luck

My built-in microwave, 2001 build UMC5100ADW emits sparks from behind cardboard panel. Suspect magnatron, or maybe metal deposits in cardboard. Looking for a replacement to fit the frame...

That "Cardboard" item is a wave guide cover and is critical part of the machine.
It is made of mica and needs replacing. The magnetron is OK as long as it does not spark too much or get any foreign items in there.
Replace the wave guide cover.

The bottom half on the RCA D52W19 has been removed and the Flyback on the Back right corner emits a noticable spark when attempting to turn the television on. Is this a flyback problem? Or is this a sign...

this is the flyback. it is not uncommon for this part to be bad and spark. Now it is common if this part is bad then the horizontal output transistor is shorted. this part is located directly in front of the flyback on a large heatsink.

i found a solution to the sparking problem in the ionic breeze. purchased scotch brite cleaning pads from home depot. using a long strip of pad scrub the plates back and forth especially in the areas that seem to be emitting sparks. i did this and the unit runs quiet as a whisper.
