Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Cannot send print info from PC to printer

Having major problems in printing from my PC to my Lexmark X5470. I have had 2 replacements sent free of charge from Lexmark but nothing is working. The only type of printing I can do is scan and print directly from the printer.
When I go to print from the PC nothing happens...no messages or errors, its like it just know what to do. Someone said something about print spooler....double dutch to me.
Can you help?

Install the usb drivers from the motherboard cd...and make sure u uninstall all lexmark drivers and then reinstall ....

Installed new printhead on Lexmark s305 and now my adobe photoshop elements 10 program can not scan but prints fine.


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/guXLhl. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

Memory info retrieving from lexmark x5630 fax machine


Usually, faxes are temporarily sent to the printer's memory when one of the cartridges' ink level is not substantial for printing at the instance of receiving the fax. When this happens, try to replace the cartridge(s), *without navigating away from the message "fax sent to memory", by opening the printer cover and replacing the low-ink or empty cartridge(s). After the new cartridge is installed, close the printer cover and press the OK button. Your printer should then print the fax stored in the memory.
*Make sure not to navigate away from the "fax sent to memory" message, otherwise, data will be lost.

My Lexmark C734DN thinks it has some packaging material on the print head cover. It hasn't! What could be wrong?


I'm having the same problem, Lexmark said they would send me a new print head. But the printer had never been used so it is strange that it has to be replaced.

Lexmark C510 not printing - message 900 service RIP software


Hi, This error could be due to several things, the most common one is that whatever is being sent from the computer is not being recognized by the printer causing the 900 Rip Soft Error. You can try to reset the printer and try sending the print job again. If the error persisted. Then the problem could be a hardware problem with the System Board.

Lexmark won't print

have you tried highlighting the entire content of the Yahoo! page before you select print? this may be an issue between the internet browser that you are using and your printer.
