I'm sorry, I thought I had one of these models in stock here so I could take it out of the box and photograph this repair for you. Unfortunately I didn't have the exact same model, however I do have a similar model to yours in stock, which I used to try and demonstrate how to get the new hose in.
This was a terrible design by Eureka BTW. The new model I photographed today had this problem fixed, and they bottom hose holder no longer is screwed in.
If you look at the very bottom on the back of your vacuum cleaner, You'll see where this plastic cover piece goes over top of the hose. You need to remove one screw, the one all the way at the bottom in order to install the new hose properly. You'll need to use a T20 Star bit Screw driver, which is kind of rare, and you may need to go out and buy one, as most people don't have these types of screw drivers.
Here's the picture of the newer model I opened up. If you look where my finger is pointing, you should see the screw:
Once you've removed this screw, simply pull the flap that goes over top of the hose out, just far enough so you can slide the new hose behind it.
Once you've pulled the hose about half way through, you can then screw in the screw, and you attach the hose proper way on both ends.
Hopefully this helped you. If you have still have questions on how to fix this, please just use the comment field at the bottom of the page. I'm always more then happy to help, and I'll try and wait until I get your particular model in stock so I can take better pictures of the repair. If you found this solution helpful, please be so kind and rate the repair helpful by, or by leaving feedback for me, this is really appreciated by the FixYa community.
Thanks so much,
