I have a Graco baby monitor, it started making a noise for the last 2 days, could it be a battery problem (even with power connected)? The monitor is about 1.5 years old.

Annoying! happens to us too frequently, but this works. We ended up buying a new one and returning our broken one after owning for three months From Manual:) 5. Turn on the Nursery Unit using the On/Off switch on the side. The green power light should come on. 6. Within a few seconds, the Parent Unit will lock on to the Nursery Unit and the top four (4) green LEDs will shut off. A second later, you will hear a series of beeps and the connection LED should change from red to green. Your monitor is now ready for use. 7. If the top four (4) LEDs do not shut off, power off the Parent Unit and the Nursery Unit and repeat steps 4 and 5 above. 8. If the connection LED on the Parent Unit does not change from red to green and the unit begins to beep, press the channel "ch" button on the Nursery Unit. Within a few seconds, the Parent Unit should lock in on the Nursery Unit and the connection LED should change from red to green. You may hear an audible beep during this process. 9. If the Parent Unit is still unable to lock in on the Nursery Unit (connection LED will be red and the unit will beep), power down both the Parent Unit and the Nursery Unit. Wait for 10 seconds then hold the volume down button on the Parent Unit while pressing the On/Off switch. When the unit powers up, you will hear a single beep and all of the soundlights will illuminate. Release the volume down switch and within 2 seconds you will hear two beeps and all of the Sound Light LEDs will stay lit and the bottom LED will be red. 10. Repeat steps 5

Computer powers on, no beep, monitor is blank

open the tower, on the mother board you will find the RAM card approx 6 inches long, take out the card and restart the comp, you should get the beeping sound and the mother board is fine, if no beep that indicates the motherboard has gone bad.
place the ram card properly into the same slot and then restart the computer. NOTE while putting your hand into the comp components always make sure that the pwr cord is pulled out or else you will get shock.
also check the cord at the back of the harddrive should be fixed properly. take it out and refix it at both ends . probable cause is there is some loose connection of the cord or the RAM.

My toshiba laptop powers on all the time but sometimes there is no display or sometimes it powers on and there is display but all of a sudden i loose display and nothing works.

You have either a lose connection to the computer from the LCD or bad connection inside the laptop on the motherboard. I would remove the keyboard and reseat the cable on the motherboard. Go to Toshiba and download the service manual or go here http://www.eserviceinfo.com/equipment_mfg/Toshiba_43.html

If you are not technicaly inclined do not attempt to repair. Take to a repair shop. Toshiba laptop's are not fun to work on!!!!!!!!

Installation of audiophile 192

Here is a list computer beeps and what they mean.

  • No Beeps: Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals
  • One Beep: Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine
  • Two Beeps: POST/CMOS Error
  • One Long Beep, One Short Beep: Motherboard Problem
  • One Long Beep, Two Short Beeps: Video Problem
  • One Long Beep, Three Short Beeps: Video Problem
  • Three Long Beeps: Keyboard Error
  • Repeated Long Beeps: Memory Error
  • Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps: CPU Overheating

Most times the beeping is caused by a bad/loose connection somewhere or card not seated properly.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting everything again. Make sure that all the power plugs are connected properly even if you didn't mess with them. Moving things around can sometimes be enough to give you the "BEEPS". ";-}

If you are still having much beeping and no computing you can try my personal favorite.

Start first with verbal threats. Next move to a second floor window and, while you explain whats going to happen if it doesn't knock it off, open the window.

If that fails give it the pitch.
Believe it or not I have used this technique and after reassembly and repair.....No more beep.

I hope this helps but if not let me know and we will try something else.

. Led will light up but cpu does not power up.

Does the CPU fan rotate? And no monitor activity? Sometimes the hard disc has some kind of activity. This could be attributed to loose/failed in memory in the syste. You can try to reseat or clean the memory edge connector with clean eraser. But power down first yur unit and unplugged to wall socket no power connection shall be connected.

Sometimes it doesn't make any beep code. If beep is generated this could be video problem. But check first the Ram and video, before getting to anything.

Post an update.

Subwoofer powers itself off

I Think its a loose connection in electric circuit. Due to vibration in the woofer the connection might be going off. Check the power circuit for any loose connections.
