Some of my Cd's get stuck and won't play a song or two. Also just lately my audio CD player sounds a bit ''bumpy'', not smooth.

Make sure the CDs are clean .. you can wash them using a bit of hand dishwashing detergent and warm water.. dont worry about the label side .. just the blank side .. carefully pat dry... if it still has problems then you can purchase a "cleaning disk for your player" .. those run from a buck to $8 .. it looks like a normal CD but it has several soft brushes that sweep dust off the laser in your CD player .. if the player is used in a smokey area .. then you may need the laser professionally cleaned (dont know anyone that does that anymore) .. its also possible your laser is wearing out .. but if the problems are always in the same spot or repeatable, i would suspect damaged or dirty CDs, not the laser

Cd error on my shaker 500 in my mustang do I need a new stereo or can I fix this. Thanks Dean

Hi Dean,
Although it isn't generally public knownage, the original "standard format" for recorded audio was established as ".wav" and is universally readable by vertually all cd players portable, auto and home systems, unless it is "designed" as an "MP3" player specifically and is usually noted somewhere on the unit. If you burn your own disks, although the file sizes are bigger (almost 2-3 times the bit size), they will be readable in alot more players. Recording in "MP3" format, you can get lots more songs on a disk however, you may notice the difference between the "sound" of the two different formats on the same song, it has to do with the "sample rate" and the "interpretation" of the sound by the format. (long explanation not important but, if you're interested you can find tons of information about audio anywhere on the web)
Many audio units read "both" as well as other audio formats that are "computer" or "digitally" created and are actually computer "languages" with different applications like ".WMA" which is "windows media audio", so, depending on the format of the disk you tried playing when you got the error code, it may be that simple, your unit cannot "read" the format the disk was created with and is telling you "cd error". The same thing would come up if you put a dvd or a computer cd in it.
If you only had trouble with that one particular cd, try a commercially produced cd or one you know worked before and so long as it plays you have your answer.
If other disks including commercial cd's won't play, you may have to use a "cd player cleaner", a disk designed to clean the optical laser inside the unit, they usually have tiny brushes on the disk and may or may not come with a cleaning fluid to use with it.
Hope this helps :)

My Sony mini hifi component system is going berserk!! 2 problems: 1- CD system skips tracks and on playing on repeat song, the song skips certain times and jumps ahead of the track. 2- Tape system plays...

Your cd player is fubar and in definite need of replacement.
Tape unit seems to have a mind of its won. Try to reset the electronics to factory defaults. If that has no remedy, since it is a sony< best advise is to trash it. Repair cost is prohibitively expensive.

Rover 25 CD player wont play MP3 format discs

It sounds like your Rover dosn't have MP3 capabilities. You will have to use standard audio CD format (not data/MP3 format). You will only be able to burn about 15-20 songs but they will play in any cd player.

13N6769 will only rip the first few songs of a cd then freeze

if the disk plays to the end in your favorite player it is a software problem.
if it stops when only playing in approximately the same place it is a hardware problem.

That is the sort of incentive I would add to convince trial users to upgrade to the full paid product, perhaps your license code has been damaged

How to set radio to play from the last song that it plays before turn off.

all CD players should do this. Who installed the CD player? Because it sounds like the memory wire isn't hooked up right. Does the clock keep the right time? If not your memory wire isn't hooked up right.
