Question about Samsung LE32R41BD 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
If you have soem expertise, and at your own risk, it may be a faulty electrolitic capacitor inside the unit. If a capacitor is bulgling or emitting black/brown gunge from a raised dome, (like a faulty tin of food) this is a likely culprit unless the switch itself is faulty. Doing this yourself with probabaly invalidate any remaining guarantee. With care, the most difficult thing is not to break the plastic surround.

I don't have a solution, but my TV, which is under two years old, is doing the same thing.
