Portable dvd play and kid spilt water on it, now the screen is in negative format, how do you fix this?

The main board has been damaged, the water gets into the parts and causes corrosion and oxidizes turning any ic a green color. To attempt a repair the player will need to be unplugged and the battery removed before you dis-assemble the player. When you can see the boards, get some rubbing alcohol and a stiff toothbrush, dip toothbrush in the alcohol and scrub each part carefully removing any green on the boards and parts. After you finish let it dry overnight, and inspect the boards to see if any traces remain. If everything checks, assemble it back together and try the player.

I plug the DVD player in and then the screen flickers then nothing

I have found that sometimes the wiring harness comes loose from the main board. The player must be dis-assembled in order to access the main board and display board, you may find the plugs have not been properly seated from manufacture and just need to be inserted to hopefully get your system working.

I cannot retrieve a DVD disc. Disc drawer is locked.

The best course of action, if the dvd drawer will not open, is to either remove the case and dis assemble the dvd drive to retrieve your dvd or otherwise u can take it to a authorised sharp agent and they can retrieve it for you, keeping in mind the problem reported you have caused, so u will pay for repairs in a normal cicumstance, as they do not cover mistakes like this.

I had got out the shower an water got in the screen its a black berry storm from verizon an i dont know what to do

Remove the back cover and battery. Shake any excess water out of unit. If you can dis-assemble then do it and let it air dry for a day or two. If you cannot dis-assemble it then try and use a hair dryer on it to completely dry it out. I have had a couple of cell phones that got submerged in water and once they were COMPLETELY dried out they worked again.

Controls for radio/cd player work on and off.

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.

No disc error

With the power turned off, open the DVD Player, and then open the top where you load the DVD into the player. Locate the laser lens and notice that the laser is attached to a transport assembly that moves the laser diagonally outward in a slot. 1. Slide this assembly outward to the end of its track. 2. Slide the assembly back inward to the closest inward position. 3. Repeat the process of sliding the assembly outward and then back inward.4. Put in a music CD and let it play all the way through. This helps to calibrate the laser head assembly movement. When the music CD is finished playing. 5. Put in a DVD, and you should have a working unit again This is a factory solution from Mintek that was given to a customer who ask for help with the forever loading disc problems. This solution may work on other models of portable DVD players. Most portable DVD players use this type of transport mechanism. Try this solution it might work for you. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
