You will need to get a 3/8 braided steel dishwasher supply line. Thic will hook up towards the front on the left side to a dishwasher elbow. A very small crecent wrench works nicely. At the other end, will need to be supplied by kitchen hot water supply. If you have a compression water stop, you will need to get one with two 3/8 outlets one to sink and one to dishwasher. Now the drain will hook up to bottom of dishwasher go through wall to under sink area, straight up as high asit can go and strap it there, then down to garbage disposal, or pipe with waste connection for wishwasher.

The supply line connects to the brass screw in fitting on the bottom left corner under the washer.

When you buy a dishwasher supply line kit, it will come with any adaptors needed. Unless you are using the steel braided line you will need to use teflon tape on the threads of the line. If you are using the SS line kit, you will only need tape on the adaptor.

Here is a pick of the line and the adaptor.

The drain line is attached with a typical hose clamp like this.

It is attached to the stub out on the garbage disposal if a GD is installed. If not then it is attached to the stub out on the drain pipe for the sink, like this.

Low hot water pressure only

turn the heat down or turn to pilot mode. Turn water supply off, hook up hose to drain valve, route hose to safe place to drain, v if this is above grade the don't turn the water supply line off. Open the drain and see how well it flows. There could be calcium deposits in the unit. IF it flows well out of the drain, you could have corrosion build up inside the inlet or outlet from minerals. Remove the inlet and outlet connections. Check for debris, you may have to replace the washer on the unions. Check the anode on the unit.

Samsung front load washing machine, WF42H5200AF, less than 4 months old giving code 4e when warm or hot temperature is pushed. Can only wash in eco warm or cold. I have drained and cleaned out to front...

Error code 4E is a water supply error.
Check the following:
  • Foreign material is entering the water supply valve.
  • The water supply valve terminal is not connected.
    (Wire disconnected)
  • The warm water and rinse connectors are wrongly connected to each other.
  • This occurs if the PCB terminal from the drain hose to the
detergent drawer is not connected. Check whether the transparent hose is folded or torn.
Possible Parts Affected are:
  • Water supply Valve
  • Main PCB
  • Obstruction of the water line.
To Check the water supply:
Check the resistance for the water supply valve. Resistance: 0.9~1.1k? between the terminals of the water supply valve

Hot Water Pressure from taps

Hard water deposits from the water heater in the supply lines to the faucets. Sounds like your water heater needs to be cleaned out -- not just drained of water. You need to get inside and clear out the deposits in the bottom of the tank. You also need to remove the hot water supply lines to your faucets and see of you can get the lines to run free from the deposits -AFTER you clean out the water heater. Remove the drain -put on a 3/4 in. ball valve for the drain and a hose bibb on that - you can hook up a 5/8 - or 3/4 inch hose to get the particles out of the drain of the water tank. You may have to blow back the water line, from the faucets, the hot water lines- to get the deposits out of the water lines. You also may have to blow out the faucets with the water line disconnected to clear the calcium out of the hot side of the faucet.

How do I drain the water from my tank?

First turn off power to water heater. Next cut off cold water supply coming to water heater that fills it. Once power and water is shut off connect a water hose to bottom of water heater and prepare to drain it. open the hot side of a faucet to break the vaccum to allow for draining to happen.
Darin all water out and disconnect it from water lines and replace with a new one/

Where is the filter located and how often do you have to clean it?

Most washers have screen filters where the hot and cold water lines connect. The condition of your water supply would indicate how often you clean these screens. If you notice a decrease in water flow into the tub you should clean the screens.

Shut off the hot and cold water supply lines.
Drain the pressure from the lines by turning the timer dial through the fill cycle in both hot and cold water modes.
Remove the hot and cold water lines from the back of the washer.
Look for a screen inside the hose coupling or the washer inlet.
Remove screen and clean using a wire brush. If screen is damaged get a replacement at a hardware, or home improvement store.

Don't understand the incomprehensible door and general installation instructions for the aqua star. Just uses pictures, anywhere available that uses WORDS?

Hello,
  • 1 what you'll need
Electric drill and hole cutting bit
    Screwdrivers
    Pliers
    Adjustable wrench
    Level
    Teflon pipe tape
    Drain pipe for dishwasher
Dishwasher connection kit - available at your home store (should contain water supply line for dishwasher as well as necessary connectors and compression couplers).
    New dishwasher

  • 2Determine that you have access to the hot water supply line, the drainpipe and an electrical connection under the sink. Installing the dishwasher will require extending the hot water supply line to the dishwasher, connecting the dishwasher drain to the drainpipe under the sink, and plugging the dishwasher in. If your home was not plumbed in anticipation of a dishwasher, you will need to change some fittings under the sink to make these connections possible. (See below)
  • 3Read the instruction manual that comes with your new dishwasher. Installing a dishwasher is straightforward but you want to be sure you understand and are comfortable with the necessary steps.

For some reason, after 5 years, a small leak has developed where the hot water exits the autocirc2 tank when you turn the hot water on. I removed the fixture where the plastic tubing hooks on and the only...

It's true, nobody has 100% perfect answer for broken stuff.
Open following link for some autocirc resources:
    http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

If I understand correctly, you removed supply line that connects autocirc pump to the hot water shut off valve.
Buy standard sink supply line at local box store or plumbing supply.
If memory serves, the supply line is 1/2" IP thread that connects to pump and 3/8" Compression fitting that connects to shut off.
You might try using thick-bodied white teflon joint compound to help seal the connection.
I use rectoseal on threaded connections and tubular drain connections to ensure forever seal:
    http://waterheatertimer.org/images/rectoseal-006-400.jpg

If brass part of pump is cracked, then autocir may be bad.
I have no idea how to permanently fix a broken brass water fitting, and would suggest replacement at that point.

If you can shut the cold water off at the water heater you should not have to turn the water off outside. Drain hot water from taps at lowest point in house, hook a hose up to boiler drain at base of WH and drain some water from here. Do as you stated and shut gas off to be safe. Change supply line.

How to install supply lines for Grohe k4 faucet

    I hope this helps.
Step11Turn off the water supply. You'll find a shut-off valve under your kitchen sinkmag-glass_10x10.gif. Once the water is turned off, open up the kitchen faucets to allow the water remaining in the pipes to drain way. Step2Catch the drips by placing a bucket under the hot water supply line, located on the left side of your sink. Even a minimum of water can cause a mess and be potentially damaging. Step3Use a wrench to remove the compression nut that secures the hot water supply line. Let the disconnected section fall into the bucket. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the nut at the other end of the line and remove it as well. Step4Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the cold water supply line. Step5Replace the cold water supply line. Hand-tighten the nuts on both ends, then use the wrench to tighten the nuts completely. Repeat the process with the hot water supply line. Step6Turn on the water supply and test for leaks

    How to install diswasher

To get the water to the dishwasher, it depends on your plumbing setup. If you have shutoffs under your sink(1/2" X 3/8" compression angle stop), you will need to buy a 1/2" x 3/8" compression double stop. This will be easy to change.

#1 Drill a 1 1/2" hole in the back bottom of the cabinet to run your water, drain line, and power cord through.
#2 First turn off the water at the Hot Water Tank, or the House supply, and turn on the sink to relieve the pressure.
#3 Next remove the Hot supply stop, and install the double stop.( The nut and ferrul do not have to be removed, as they will attach to the double stop. Reinstall the hot supply to the sink to one of the connections on the double stop.
    #4 Install a 3/8" x 3/8" x 48" braided flex with the 1/2" MIP
x 3/8" compression ell at the dishwasher.
#5 Install the drain hose supplied with your dishwasher at the bottom of the dishwasher.
#6 Install a 6' pigtail power cord to the power box under your dishwasher.
#7 Feed the drain line, power cord and water supply through the hole in the back of the cabinet at the bottom. As you push the dishwasher back into the enclosure, you will need to feed the 3 lines into the cabinet under the sink.
#8 Attach the water line to the open connection on the double stop.
#9 The drain line will attach to your garbage disposal.(If you have one) Be sure to knock the small piece of plastic out of the drain connection, and retrieve it out of the disposal, before connecting the dishwasher drain line.
#11 Raise the middle of the drain line as high as possible under the cabinet under the sink, preferably attach it to a screw to the bottom of the counter top. This will keep the dishwasher from drawing a back siphonage and getting a bad odor.
#12 Plug in the dishwasher. Assuming you have electrical under your sink. Otherwise an electrical outlet may need to be installed.
#13 Balance the dishwasher using the front legs. After you adjust the depth of the dishwasher, and the level. Use the 2 mounting screws included with the dishwasher to fasten the 2 clips above the door to the bottom of the counter top.
#14 Remove the installation manual and styrofoam from the tray, and turn the dishwasher on. Inspect for leaks as you run a cycle.
#15 Attach the bottom kick panels

    You are done.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
