Question about Ryobi 30 Cubic Centimeter Curved Shaft Gas Trimmer
Sounds like the high-speed gas mixture is too lean. When you cleaned the carburetor did you use compressed air to clean the tiny fuel passages? If you are confident that the fuel passages are clean, and that there is no gunk at the tip of the fuel adjustment screws, you may be able to adjust the screws to solve the problem. You might try gradually increasing RPMs by goosing the throttle repeatedly, letting off all the way in between each pull so it won't stall. If that works it indicates you can probably fix it with an adjustment. When you cleaned the carb you should have counted how many turns it took to screw in the fuel/air screws all the way, then removed them to blow out the fuel passages with compressed air. That way you would know how to replace them correctly.
