This sounds like you have "bricked" your psp... there are a few things that can cause this: first would be that you have bricked it trying to install Custom Firmware, another would be that the battery died or it was shut off during an update. You can buy what is called a Pandora Battery and a "magic" memory stick which will reset your PSPs firmware to the original 1.5, or if you still have warranty you can send it in to Sony to get fixed. Pandora batteries and Magic Memory Sticks are sold in a package for about $10-15 on the internet. Good Luck, hope you fix it.

and then when you run psp pandora deluxe you simply select the drive your psp is like [h] or [d] and chose the one and then chose the Ofw files you download and then chose desperato cemeterio v6 [4.01 m332] then hit format and prepare card Set the DC v6 to the left trigger and elf to Square.. and then chose more options and chose install support tools for pandora, install support tools for XMB copy 4.01 1.50 addon. then u start the psp holding square [elf menu] and then chose to run pandora installer and then chose battery options and then pandorize battery then exit out and turn off psp and the turn on while holding left trigger and then chose 4.01 ofw or 4.01 m33[ which lets ou play psp games for free snes playstation one and much more
All things are fixable. Try going into recovery mode. This is done by Pressing and holding the R button when powering up the PSP. You then can press the brightness control button to see the firmware. This might help you reboot the PSP. If it is worst than this, you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair, although they usually do not want to fix a Squooshed PSP. I would not tell them you Sat on it. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.
If you cannot get them to Repair it, you can check out my website, www.Playstationclinic.com . I can fix it for a very reasonable price.
