In this case if you monitor say no input or no signal it means the monitor connector cord are not connected properly to the motherboard. Or if you have a video card you need to plug your monitor connector to the video card. Because if you a video card and the monitor cord are connected to the motherboard the monitor will not be display. So check the monitor connector if it is correctly connected.

Power blue light flashing when i turn the computer on

It depends on where the blue light is. Is the blue light on the monitor or on the computer tower? If it is on the monitor the monitor is having problems and needs to be serviced. If it is on the tower it could be an issue with the power supply.

When I turn on the modem, all visible indicators tha it is running properly show. However, none of the inputs on the rear of the tower operate. I have checked and cleaned the fan, and none of the wiring...

Your wording is not consistent. If the monitor isn't getting any signal, how do you know that the USB ports are not working?
Does the keyboard get power -- check the caps lock, num lock lights.
If it is, check your monitor for power and re-do the connections.

Dell tower desktop Dimension 5100. Tower makes whistling sound.

sounds like it could be a bearing in your hard drive. is this problem constant? If so, I would open up the tower and disconnect the hard drive and then power up the tower again. if the sound goes away--you need to get a new hard drive. If not, you could have some dust bunnies in your cooling fan.

Emachine tower unresponsive

Unplug the Monitor, and attempt to reconnect a seperate monitor to test. If that monitor works properly, then the problem is your regular monitor. If you do not have another monitor, Try unplugging the power from the wall jack to the tower. Then plug into another port, the reason the computer doesn't turn on is because the power outlet may be running but at a lower voltage then what is required for the computer to run at its full potential. If theese both fail, Try opening your computer and check if anything is blown out.

Dell XPS 400 tower does not power up monitor?

The “self test” on the monitor displays when not plugged into a computer. This means that it’s working. The LED error code 2 and 4 means the video subsystem has a problem. Either your video card is bad or bad memory module. Try reseating video card and/or memory.

Desktop monitor

Hi

Disconnect the monitor from the tower and then turn on the monitor.
If u get a msg like no input signal or check video cable then the monitor is fine. If this is the case, it could be a problem with the tower or the cable.

T5082 keeps abruptly shutting down

Sounds like it may be overheating. If you get warning beeps on startup that sounds high, low, high low, it is overheating. you should inspect and clean the fan on the processor with a vacuum or compressed air ans also clean the power supply area with a vacuum to clear all the dust out. Inspect and wipe any other dust away from the motherboard and card inside. After restarting, it still goes off, check that the fan is running during startup. If not, the fan needs to be replaced at a nominal cost. This is an easy fix. If this all fails, let me know so we can troubleshoot everything together.
