You have a bad power supply and that would need to be replaced.. No pic no sound would be power supply unit not giving juice to the rest of the TV. I would have it serviced if I where you. If you rather do it yourself you can get the power supply here www.partstore.com. Thanks and please ACCEPT

Did you say you where a tech?

Okay listen you checked the supply with what? Did you do a Hi pot QC check for faults?? You changed what inverter the master or slave?

Here is the thing first you never said you where a tech in your problem description and you never said you changed the inverters all this information helps us in our investigation on what is causing your issue.

What voltage are you getting at the inverters?? What output voltage is your supply giving to your inverters and decoder?

I am really confused how you all of a sudden a Technician and you got all these things fixed?

I am really interested in your reply Thanks

Its really hard for me to beleave a tech would come to a tech with questions but I will help as long as we keep the dialog positive.. If you changed the inverter fine.. Check the decoder as well make sure there is no bad capcitors anywhere in the TV let me know Thanks

Yeah i think if the invertes are good the last thing to check on this would be the decoder. I wonder what cap tester you using? You said a logic board for sound hmmm that should be on the tuner/decoder logics on this TV..

Please clikc the accept button if you find my information helpful thanks

Hi,

The TV not starting properly you should hear the tone noise (bleep bleep) not a ticking, clicking noise or no sound. If you have sound from the speakers (TV shows , etc) then the backlight may not be lighting
A long time coming on is a classic example of what I am detailing for you below. .These LCD's have problems with the power supply capacitors going bad,a technician will charge between $200 and $450 to repair it replacingeither the capacitors or the whole board.

Here is a DIY (do it yourself) solution:

Itcould be just a few bad capacitors on the power supply, if you want toattempt the repair yourself you can do a visual of the power board capswill appear swollen on top.We do not recommend do it yourself, but depending on your knowledge and technical ability you may be able to.
withthe back removed you will usually see two circuit boards the upper oneis the power supply, it has a few capacitors on it (cylindricalstanding straight up soldered in mark on the sides with thepositive/negative sides and uf and Volts values).

The power board and back unscrew with a medium Philips screwdriver,if you do not know how to De-solder and Re-solder then do not attemptthis as you may damage the TV more than fix it.I am posting a photo of some swollen caps on a board so you know what they look like :-

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!!

Do accept the solution, if 100% satisfied from my service!!

    Thanks for your response!!

Have you checked all the connections. Sometimes, loose connection might lead to all this. Try to check the connections.

Make sure that this is not a Graphic card problem.

    Let me know, once done!!

Video:

To enable the video to the TV, follow these instructions:
Plug in the original monitor and set it up for dual monitoring (see article PDF file).
http://www.oceansystems.com/dtective/dual_monitor_setup.pdf
Once you get the tv set up, you can disable the original monitor (following the same instructions above) or keep it, which I recommend.

Sound:

Are you using S-video to connect to TV? S-Video only carries the video signal so you need a way to get the audio from the tuner box to your TV card. I recommend just attaching the PC speakers to the computer unless you have a supported sound card that will allow you to connect to tv.

My dell w3201c tv displays "no video signal" when i power it on

Coaxial cable does not carry video signals but rather rf-signals
To use coax you will have to tune like you are searching for a signal from your aerial..
If you prefer to use video then you will have to use a video cable either rca or hdmi. you can then choose video or hdmi from the remote

Dell W3201C: No picture, No sound

Have the same model and same problem
probably It is a bad inverter board, in my case one of the 16 transformers is burnt out on the inverter board. still trying to find a replacement component. if not replacing the board is the only option or getting the inverter board repaired.

by the way, this TV has a Samsung panel: model LTA320W2-L03. so it needs parts for a Samsong not a DELL.
DELL does not manufacture or fix them becuase they don't make them

Don't bother with DELL if out of warranty, they can't fix it. Have the same model and same problem
