How to load staples

Staples newly purchased will always be attached when purchased and that answers your question...wherever the device u are loading has a horizontal channel, there will be a loading window at the end. Take it apart by realeasing the cap or spring at the bottom and sliding the train of staples into the channel inside. Replace cap or spring lever to original position and secure. Stapler is now loaded.

How do you open and put in staples?

Hi Bob:
There are slightly different systems depending on the gun, but the principle is consistent.
If you hold the gun and a stick of spaples so that the staples are lined up with where they come out of the gun, that is the position that they have to be placed in the gun. There will be a spring device that pushes the stick of staples towards the discharge slot.
At the end of the gun farthest from the discharge slot, in line with where the staples will fit, there will probably be a cap with a couple of bent tabs next to slots. Push the cap towards the discharge slot and then sideways so that the tabs are under the slots. The cap and spring assembly will then slide out, the new stick os staples goes in, and the spring, plunger, and cap get re-installed.
Your stapler may not be exactly like this, but its the principle you'll need to follow for whatever stapler you're working with.
Cheerfuls!

How do I load staples into my JT21 staple gun?

At the end of the stapler opposite where the staplers are driven out is a release.

Push it in and turn it and it should come out with a long spring

Load your staples, put the spring back and lock it.

How do i load the gun with staples

There is a clip at the lower rear of the stapler--lift this clip upwards which releases the staple tension device which is the clip, a rod, a long spring, and a 'U' shaped clip on the far end. Pull this device all the way out, insert one length of staples into the slot that is revealed, then reinsert the tension device until the small clip re-locks at the rear of the stapler frame. One staple ejects per squeeze of the firing lever--hold the nose of the stapler firmly to the material to allow penetration of the staple. Hope this helps!

Problem loading gun..Where do we put in the staples and change the dial to accomodate it? fred

The staples should load in through the end of the hammer stapler. The end is spring loaded to push the staples forward, so push the end - usually a crome square - into the handle end then move that part up approximately 1/4 inch and pull back. The spring mechanism should slide out so you can add new staples. These staplers take a specific size of staple and a certain number to allow you to put the spring mechanism back into the stapler. If you do not know the correct size for your stapler someone at your local hardware store can help you find the correct size and they will probably even show you how to load it. Good luck!

There is a Stanley bostitch model B2000 stapler in my classroom. I need to fix the spring that advances the staples and holds them in place! wehre do connect the spring?

The person that asked this is probably long gone, but in case anyone else comes across this... I had the exact same problem when I dropped this same stapler today and the spring came out. After examining it for a bit, I realized where the spring had to go and fixed it.
Open the stapler the same way you would as if you were replacing the staples and look at the top piece, towards the back. There will be an elongated black hook here to attach one end of the spring. The trick is where you route the spring after that... look towards the front end of the same top piece, and you'll see 2 holes in the metal. You need to push the spring up through the first hole, then pull it back down through the second hole (you may want to use a straightened paper clip to snag the spring so you can pull it through that second one), and only then do you attach the other end of the spring to the hook in the sliding metal piece that advances the staples in the staple holder.
And that's it!

Take out the screw/nut combo @ the end of the gun where you load the staples. The whole rail that holds the staples will then come out and you can then get the little devils of the nested, jammed, rousted up staples out by sliding them out with a screwdriver. Don't jam the screwdriver into your fingers/hand when doing it.
