The clutch went bad.We replaced the clutch but no power is getting to rear tires. The P.T.O responds as it should when clutch is either pressed or released.(press clutch, pto stops-release and it engages).I am not to familar with tractors but been mechanic for several years so reasonalby sure clutch is right. What is your thoughts? the tractor is a late 50's or early 60's modle, sat for 1.5 years and no johnson clutch.Does burn gasoline in a 4 cylinder engine. Could find no identifing numbers on the thing so just picked one from the list to get the problem out there.

I have a 1998 Suzuki bandit 1200.I'm having problems with the clutch.I think. I noticed when I would accelerate the rpm would jump 4 -5000 before the bike would respond . I let off throttle to stop rpm...

make sure there is 3mm play on the clutch lever , select 5th gear while engine is running and press the rear brake to stop you moving away ! with a little revs try and set off , if clutch is worn it will slip and not stall the engine ! if this happens then replace the clutch plates !

I replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing had my tires balanced and i am still getting excessive viberation on the rear of the truck. 1997 nissan xe standard shift

When you have vibration like that its normally caused by a tire either out of balance or the belts in the tire have separated. They should have noticed this if they balanced them. You could try rotating the tires to see if the vibration moves to the front. If you are still having this issue it could be a bad shock or both. Or it could be something in the differential that is going bad.
I kinda doubt that it could be a differential issue because you would probably notice performance issues and it would whine or make some sort of noise.

How do I know when my clutch is going bad?

Clutch does not go bad. It just wears out. And the indication is that your bike will not accelerate as much as the throttle you apply. The engine keeps running, and you cant get the pickup that it had earlier. You feel that the clutch lever is pressed and hence the bike is not responding as much as the gas you are burning. It results in more gas consumption. You can keep adjusting the clutch lever, and ultimately, the limit would be reached when you cant tighten the lever any more. Time to replace the clutch plate/s.
And when the clutch plate/s is/are completely worn out, the bike will not move forward. it will just rev up static.

Rear tire locked up while driving

brakes dragging (your right foot on the pedal) would cause heat to build to the point of freezing up or not adjusted properly, perhaps bearings went bad, or the clutch broke.I once had a bungee cord break and wrap around the wheel and apply the brake for me.

How to check rear diff when turning outside rear tire feels like going over rumble strips but not all the time checked tires and rotated maybe wheel bearing? truck has limited slip rear

sound like your limited slip clutch in the differental is worn, normally you shouldn't be able without alot of force to turn one of the tires.... inspect the clutches or replace the fluid and retest....simple way to check the rear bearings is to remove the axle and spin the wheel and listen....GL

Clutch issues: release clutch and mower doesnt move.

"....I just took off the right rear tire to replace."

Make sure the key hasnt fallen out of the right rear tire. It has to have the key to work. Its a peice of metal about 3 inches long and flat on all sides. It should slip into the grove on the tires shaft. Hope that helps.
