Try taking the sim card out and the battery. Wait a few minutes. Replace the battery (and not the sim card). Turn on the phone. Wait five minutes and turn the phone off. Put the sim card back in.

Sometimes this error message appears when you are out of range. If you are inside, stand outside and turn phone off and on. See if this helps.

It is the IC that handles the SIM that goes faulty intermittently and causes such problems. have it checked by the service centre of your mobile phone and get it rectified. BUT let me assure you that this problem is not really rectified for sure. It is only a temp cure. Once this problem starts occurring then there is no guaranty that it will work the next time you want it to. Have you got the hint. it is a bad news that can get worse.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear regarding the problem. This is a Hardware problem. You need to either repair or get it fixed by a tech.

But,

Before that, follow the 2 simple solutions that work on 90% of the sets :-

1. Turn Off the phone. Plug out the Sim. Plug out the battery. Put the Sim and then battery after some time. Check if this could fix the problem.

2. Sometimes, this is due to Oxidation of metal. Take out the battery and clean the battery's metal strip . Plug in the battery and the Sim.

Let me know, if that fix the issue.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Do accept the solution, if 100% satisfied from my service!!

Hi, I am using Nokia 6303C model. I have placed my friends Sim card in to my mobile and after 5 mins I have again placed my sim card. Then onwards my mobile is automaticaly switched off in just 2 to 3...

My dear, the only way you can bring the phone back to its normal condition is by flashing it. Flashing could be done by experts alone. Visit an expert shop near you, tell them you want to flash your phone and it will be done, using your USB cable. Hope this helps

My phone is saying "

Hi, the message you are getting is telling you 1 of 2 things, now its either telling you that the sim card in the phone has either not been registered or it has not been topped up within a set time so its now been cancelled but if how ever the sim card is one that has been used on a regular basis then the chances are the sim card reader in the phone is now faulty.

you could try the following
1 take the sim card out of the phone, switch the phone on then switch it off again, then put the sim card back in the phone making sure its in far enough and the right way round then switch it back on and see if anything has changed.
2, try your sim card in some one else phone and if it works in their phone then you no you have got a problem with your phone
3 try another sim card in your phone making sure the sim card is from the same network as the phone is locked to,
if you try using a sim card from the wrong network it will give you the message your getting now so make sure you have got a sim from the same provider the phone is locked to.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please can you rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Moet puk code invoeren maar weet die niet meer???

Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do!
1) If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please read bellow.

2) You must get a phone that is on the same network as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.

Thank you for using FixYa!

Do have a nice day and please remember to rate this Tip.

Best regards,

How to unlock Samsung A117

PERMANENT UNLOCK CODE SAMSUNG SGH A117, T429, T729

Insert ANY unaccepted SIM card in the phone and then turn the phone on, follow the steps in 1 to 4 below to enter all the codes. The phone will states "Wrong card" at the end of step 2 and "network lock deactivated" at the end of step 4 if you do everything right so pls take your time to enter the code or follow the instruction correctly at each step. When entering some of the zeros at steps 3 and 4 your phone may display the zero as hyphen or minus (-), dont worry, just count when entering the zero to ensure you enter just the right numbers of zeros. Now let's begin... 1/ Put any unaccepted SIM card in your SAMSUNG SGH Phone, turn the phone on, it will display "WRONG CARD"

2/ At the wrong card screen, type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#

3/ Now remove the battery with the SIM card, Put the battery back and turn the phone on again without the SIM card, it will display "Insert SIM card" 4/ At the insert SIM card screen/end of step 3 above type #7465625*638*00000000#

At the end of step 4 phone will show "network lock deactivated" 5/ Now Reinsert your unaccepted card or any other unaccepted SIM card in the phone and enjoy your unlocked phone!
