Setting the clock on a Wharfedale DVDRHD400F

When the initial set up ran for the DVD recorder it set the correct time and, I assume, the correct date.
However, I had problems with the display and went through various settings until I solved the display problem.
Unfortunately, during the process, which included disconnecting the power, the clock was reset, starting at midnight and 1st January. There appears to be no way to access the clock.
How do I get the recorder to display the correct date/time?

This solution may work for other Wharfedale DVD recorders as well as the DVDRHD400F.

Use your Setup button to acces the 'Setup' menu.

    Choose the 'Preferences' menu.

Choose 'Factory Defaults' and click on 'OK'.

The recorder will restore the factory defaults and the first screen it takes you too is the 'Initial Setup' screen where it asks you to enter the correct date and time.

May work on similar dvd recorders. Would help if Wharfedale included this in their users manual.

Try scanning for channels. It may well download time and date automatically.

Proline dvdrh160d clock setting-How to do it?

Setting the clock on a Proline DVDRH160D DVD recorder can vary depending on the specific model and firmware version. However, here are some general steps that may help:
  1. Press the "Menu" button on the remote control to access the main menu.
  2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to navigate to the "Setup" or "System" menu.
  3. Look for a sub-menu labeled "Clock," "Time," or "Date and Time."
  4. Once you are in the clock setting, you can use the arrow buttons to adjust the hour, minute, day, month and year, then press OK or Enter to confirm.
  5. Once you have set the correct date and time, you may need to select "Save" or "Exit" to confirm your changes and return to the main menu.
However, if you are not able to find the Clock setting, it is possible that the feature is not available on this specific model or there is a problem with the firmware. I recommend you to check the user manual or contact the manufacturer for specific instructions for your Proline dvdrh160d or for more information about the clock setting feature. Also, you can try to check the TV manual if the recorder is connected to the TV.

How to set the time on dmr eh59

Automatic clock setting is done if you initially accept to use the guide plus system (should do). Only if for some reason it does not work, you can set the clock manually following these steps Clock Usually, the unit's setup function automatically adjusts the
clock to correct time. Under some reception conditions, however,
the unit cannot set the clock automatically.
In this case, follow the operation steps below to manually set the clock.
1 Press [3, 4] to select "Off" of "Automatic" and press
[OK].
2 Press [2, 1] to select the item you want to change.
The items change as follows:
Hour,Minute,Second,Day,Month.Year

3 Press [3, 4] to change the setting.
You can also use the numbered buttons for setting.
4 Press [OK] when you have finished the settings.
The clock starts.
If a TV station transmits a time setting signal, and when
"Automatic" in the Clock setting menu is set to "On", the automatic
time correction function checks the time and if necessary it is
adjusted several times every day.

I HAVE A PANASONIC DVD,VHS RECORDER MODEL #DMR-EZ48V.WHEN TRANSFER A VHS CASSETTE TO A DVD THE THUMNAILS ON THE DVD HAVE THE DATE OF 1/1/2000. HOW CAN I PUT THE ACTUAL DATE OF THE RECORDINGS ON EACH OF THE...

Try setting the clock on the remote press [FUNCTIONS] go to SETUP menu - locate the CLOCK option (it should be under 'OTHERS' in the setup) and set the current time, press [ENTER/OK] to store if necessary, then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Once clock is set correctly, future DVD thumbnails will show the actual date/time of recording in this (and similar) model combo units. If auto clock setting is not possible, set it manually as above.

I assume in spite of the wrong date/time, your DVD recordings have been successful. Incorrect clock and date setting usually only affects timer recording for VHS.

If you have lost or misplaced your original owner's manual, you can download a free pdf version (for Region 1 model) from:

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Video/DVD-Recorders-Players/DVD-Recorders/model.DMR-EZ48VK

or, if you live outside USA, download the 'Australia/NZ' pdf version of the manual (for Region 4 model) from:

http://www.panasonic.com.au/Products/DVD+and+Blu-ray/DVD+-+Players+and+Recorders/DMR-EZ48V/Downloads

either one of these will provide you a full copy of the original user guide/setup including clock.

All free. Hope these suggestions help.

RCA model DRC8335 Loosing the date and time

That will be a problem from the text side of the broadcast, the clock is set from the text transmission, ( in other words a problem from the transmitter ) possibly due to digital switchover or work on the transmitters. One possible solution would be to turn off auto clock setting, and/or auto summer time adjustment.
