Problem for Canon imageRUNNER C3200 Copier

I want to print a document and have it collated

I want to print a document and have it collated and stapled. When I go to the "Print" window and then to "Finishing," it only gives me the options to Collate or Group. The options to Staple & Collate and Staple & Group are grayed out and I cannot select them. How can I fix this?

check in the finisher unit if staple cartridge is not empty
