Want to connect 2 yamaha msr 800 w subwoofers with each other because the one speaker build in amp is not working can i

If you want to do it the safe way so you don't put too much of a load on your amp, connect the positive wire from one speaker to the positive output from your amp. Then connect the negative wire from that speaker to the positive wire of the second speaker. Finally connect the negative wire of the second speaker to the negative output of the amp. This will get sound from both speakers without straining your amp. This is called wiring in series.

HDS Gens Touch shows positive red to negative & black to positive?

Lowrance may have goofed on the manual printing. RED is Positive, Black is negative. All these systems have reverse polarity protection. If you wire backwards, the screen will flash on and then automatically turn off.
I install these systems and I have always put the fuse hlder on the positive line at the battery. The fuse holders are always red wires and that may also lead to some confusion if they suggest attaching that to the black lead.
Hope this answers your question.

Need to know where the positive wires that connect to the battery of a '95 Toyota previa connect.

Hi

The black wire will be connected to the body or engine of the van and the red or positive wire is connected to your starter motor.
You can also use a 12 volt battery light to check the negative or positive wires.
You take the 12 volt battery light and place the negative black wire clip to an earth on the vehicle, then when you touch the tip of the 12 volt battery light onto a positive wire the light will light up.
Then you will know which wires are negative or positive sometimes the key has to be on for some wires to work.
Cheers

How do I connect my nitro 1000 watt amp to get thr most bass .i have two 15 vx kickers

If you have the Nitro bmw-482 running it at 2 ohms will give you the max output (its not 1ohm stable so don't run it that way). First run your two dvc speakers parallel (run both negative out puts together and both positive out puts together on each speaker). After this you should have 1 positive and 1 negative wire from each speaker (4 wires altogehter). This will give you a 1 ohm load which your amp can't handle, so you have to run the 4 wires in series to create a 2 ohm load. Now take the positive wire from 1 speaker and connect it to the negative wire from the opposite speaker. Thats how to run in series. Now you should have 1 positive wire from 1 speaker and 1 negative wire from the other speaker which is 2 ohm load. Your amp sould be bridgeable, so connect the positive wire into the correct terminal of your amp and the negative wire into the correct terminal of your amp according to where to bridge it (positive into left positive, negative into right negative) . That will give you a 2 ohm load bridged which is the most power you can get out of your amp 300 watts. Medium quality amps are over rated so you will never acheive the 1000 watts as advertised.

AMP WONT TURN ON

Hi.

A short on Amp power contact can blow the internal power adapter. Before deciding if to replace or repair the amp, check if it has an external fuse mounted at the back side of the amp. In that case replace it.

Also ensure that the wires that you are connecting to the amp are still powered. Read Volts on wires before connecting to test the amp.

If the Amp has blown, then the damage will be located in the power supply circuit, and can be repaired testing and replacing few components.

Boat horn not working; fuse is good

TOOL NEEDED (1) DC test light or probe. TROUBLESHOOTING (1) generally a horn just has two wires positive and negative. Test negative by connecting dc test light negative to the negative on the back of the horn. use positive side of dc test light and touch a known positive connection. dc test light should light if not. find clean know ground for horn. Test positive by connecting neg side of dc test light to a know negative connection. use positive side of the dc test light and touch positive side of horn. test light should light up when you touch the horn switch. if dc test light does not light take a jumper wire and connect one side of jump wire to a known positive connection. take other side of jumper wire and lightly touch positive side of horn connection. horn should beep. if horn does not beep replace horn. if horn does beep test and or replace horn switch.

Battery hook-up

You must have inline fuses at the point where the wire taps off of the power source. If you're tapping off a wire that has no fuse (like the starter solenoid), you must insert a fuse.

When making the connection to the amp, there will be a spark initially. If you hold it on for a second, pull it off and then touch it again, there should be little to no spark because the capacitors in the amplifier would have charged when you made the initial contact. If there is an intense spark each time you touch it and the amp is not on (no remote voltage applied), the amp may be defective.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Help on 1 amp and 1 alpine srw-124d

You have dual 4-ohm coils. 2 coils per speaker.using one speaker, if you take and run the postive from one coil and connect it to the negative of the other coil, then take a wire from your bridge channel on your amp and connect the positive to the the remaining positive on the one coil and connect the negative to the remaining negative on the other coil you will create a 8ohm load on the amp in bridged mode.

now this is the important part. The bigger the load on the amp the greater the wattage output to the speakers. This sucks the wattage out of the amp. Careful not to overload you amp. The setup above is safe for any amp. The following is for 2ohm stable amps only. The lower the ohm value 2, 4, 8 and so on, the greater the load on the amp.

connect the positive of one coil to the positive of the other. connect the negative of one coil to the other negative of the other coil. then take a wire from your bridge channel on your amp and connect the positive to the the positive on one coil and connect the negative to the negative on the same coil and you will create a 2ohm load on the amp in bridged mode.

Series = add the two ohm value
parallel= halve the ohm value

you can play with series and parallel together using more than one speaker setup.

Problem with hifonics 1505 class d mono

The positives are connected together and the negatives are connected together. The two pairs of terminals are for convenience. You'd connect one speaker to a pair of positive/negative terminals and you'd connect the other speaker to the remaining pair of positive/negative terminals.

You need to confirm that you have a good signal feeding the amp. If you have another amp in the vehicle, swap the RCA cables between the amps to see if it makes a difference.

You also need to confirm that the speaker are working properly and that there are no broken connections in the wires. If you disconnect the speaker wires from the amp and touch the wires across a D-cell battery (for a fraction of a second), the speaker should pop. if it doesn't, check the wiring to determine why.
