Hi I hope someone can help!! My washing machine just wont do anything - I have an Indesit the model number it says is W103. When I switch it on the light at the front does not flash and nothing happens, you can hear the door lock, and then when I switch it off the door unlocks again. It did start to spin, but only filled up a little bit and then the programme dial started to just click around all the programmes. Its not filling up or doing anything! If anyone could help me or offer a solution id really appriciate it!!

Re: Washing machine wont do anything
Rotating timer knob indicates that there is a fault, obviously, so its a case of going through a checklist, based on info given, check in this order, outlet pump, for open circuit, then heater element for open circuit, then maybe the water valves, you have given little information for me to go on as an engineer, please understand, the more you say the more detail we can give ..... ok cheers with looking for the fault, best of luck and work safe

Indesit IWDE 146 UK Washing Machine Spares ... This part fits the following models: WIL133UK, WIL133UKCO, WIXE127UKV & Does Not Fit Mod. .... If you have just replaced the door seal on your appliance then you may need this retainer ...
I would say, place a voltage tester on the pump motor wires and see if there is power to the pump. If there is, replace pump as it is defective.(very common problem). If not, your timer is unfortunately needing replacement. Let me know.(This is on the drain cycle when testing).
Your machine may not be receiving adequate voltage to start. Make sure
your machine is plugged in. Also, check the circuit breaker panel to make
sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Or check to
make sure no fuses in the fuse panel are blown. Try plugging something
else into the same outlet. If it won't work either, then there is
likely something wrong with the power outlet. Any of these could be the
reason power is not getting to your machine. Also, refrain from using an
extension cord to plug your machine in.
Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.
Most Indesit washing machines have hidden filters and are not meant to be customer accessible. If you are referring to the incoming water supply, then in some models, it would be immediately after the connector; if on the other hand, you are referring to the lint/fluff collector/filer, then there is no real filter but rather is a part of the drain system. Normally it is at the very bottom of the machine. You need to remove the lower front panel. There would be 3 clips that holds it in place. Once the inside is exposed, there would be a black circular cover at the right hand side. Unscrew it out and clean the inside. It would normally be filled with water and some other "stuff" so pls have cleaning materials handy and/or anything to absorb the spilling water.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
