Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
When washing a load I get a message of F H on my machine. Any ideas?
This code typically indicates a fill problem. Much of the diagnosis of a potential problem hinges on whether there is any water getting to the machine. If there is no water getting to machine, then check the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and check the small metal screens inside the opening on the valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris and check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid.
If there is water reaching the machine, then look at a faulty water level switch. Make sure the plastic tube attached to the switch is clear of any obstruction or damage and the switch can be tested in the same manner as the solenoids on the inlet valve. This can also be caused by a defective flow meter.
These are a some of the things to consider. If no water is detected filling the machine within 30 seconds, then the valves will be shut off and the code displayed OR if the water has turned on and after 8 minutes the flowmeter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected a pressure switch trip, then the code will be displayed. These are the parameters that will cause this code to be displayed. Rather convoluted and I hope you are able to follow my ramblings. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

The FH code on your washer indicates that the there is no water detected entering the machine or the pressure switch has been tripped.
If there is no water entering the machine:
#1 Check to see if both taps are open
#2 Check for kinked inlet hoses or if the screens are plugged in the inlet valve.
If there is water entering the machine what this means is that the flow meter has detected that 10.5 gallons have been put into tub.
#1 Check to make sure you don't have a siphon issue. Check your drain hose and ensure it's not at the bottom of the stand pipe.
If you have tried all these, the next step would be to call for a service technician because electrical test will have to be performed on other components.
Good luck. Please let me know if this helps!
