Why does my panasonic video camera not allow me to download into my imac. It tells me to plug in my ac adaptor??

Such data transfer requires the ac adapter to be plugged-in as it is safer. Just try with the ac adapter plugged-in

Connecting Panasonic SDR-H80 video to PC / Mac without AC lead?

hi, you can record on a SD card that you can then remove and read through an SD card Reader (a usb key where you slip the card and pof! you have it). For the Mac/ Pc/ Power adaptor I have the same problems. tell me if your quest for knowledge was fruitfull anywhere else.

Cameras can't upload if low on power. Charge batteries or plug in the ac adaptor to an outlet and try again.

Panasonic sdr-h40p cannot connect to my pc

hi all, i had exactly the same problem and finally managed to sort it out, here to share with u all. The AC adapter is the one looks like a battery cable which comes with the camcorder. You have to remove the battery first, and plug the AC adapter into the place where the battery was, then connect the other end to the battery charger. Now you can select the PC connect option and transfer your videos. Hope it helps. =)
