"Loud noise" implies either the fans, the hard drive, or the optical drive, as those are all the moving parts in an iBook. If it won't start up, I'm guessing you have a bad hard drive. If so, you can revive your machine with a new hard drive, but your old files are probably toast unless you have backups.

I have a tXK4676 and it has started making a clicking sound at the rear of the tv. When this happens the screen will momentarily blink and the sound cuts off and on. Is the screen trying to go out? Or is...

it sounds like the power supply clicking in the back, usually where the vents slits are. this is can lead to the TV not powering up in the future. the noise can be a bit loud at times i imaging. this might sound a bit weird, but have you tried just giving the TV a whack when the noise starts. a wire or adapter could be a bit loose and sometimes all the need is just a bit of vibration to get back into a usable place

No screen picture

Hello,

You should first try to find out if it is a screen problem. Turn the machine down, and plug a monitor to it. Turn monitor on, power up the computer and see if you get anything on the monitor. If you get something (like the boot screen) on the monitor then it is not your screen. You will be able to troubleshoot further by going into Bios Setting.

Hope it gives you a statring point.

Apple iBook 3g dosent boot hangs on the grey screen

The hard drive has (or is busy) packed up. That is the clicking noise you hear. You may obtain a new drive and install OS X (10) but to find those kind of CD's and hardware drivers may be quite a task

G4 Startup problems

It could be a couple of things. First thing first, boot your computer holding Command (apple) + Option (Alt) + P + R. try again. If this is not working you could try to reset the logic board, this is done by holding the power button when you start the computer a few seconds, until you hear a loud beep. Permissions could be in problem also. To reset those you need to Hold command + S when you start up, then when the computer waits for your input: type fsck -f (enter). When it's over type restart (enter). If none of the above works for you you may have a hard drive or memory problem. Best thing would be to bring it to an apple serice store or call Apple for tech support.

Sceptre LCD monitor blank screen, blinking power light

Something has failed or is failing in the monitor. It may be serviceable, but may not be cost effective to do so unless something has just come loose. I'm assuming you have no problems with the new monitor. Your time line is a little confusing.

Blank screen upon powering up

First try resetting the PRAM - Hold Command + Option + P + R until u hear a chime.

If that doesn't work, apply firm pressure about 1 inch below the option + command and start the iBook, it takes the iBook to turn on the screen approx. 30 seconds.
