SOURCE: I have a Dell XPS

this is either a motherboard, AC or battery problem. Isolate it by removing all attached devices, then emove the battery and power on the computer with just the AC adapter. If that does not work, remove try to use another AC, and another battery. if using another AC and another battery does not work, run the diagnostics on the dell laptop. press and hold the FN key, then press the power button. see if that will give you any error and take note if any of the lock lights will come up and/or blink.

SOURCE: I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop. The touch pad does not work.

Unless it is a hardware fault open the control panel>system>mice and uninstall the touchpad. Then rebott. It should solve the problem.

SOURCE: Dell XPS M2010 Starting Problems

If the problem is bad caps on the motherboard you can probably get your computer to start again. Plug into ac power. Turn on computer and if you get the bluethooth and power light only just leave it sit this way for a while 15 to 30 minutes. Now press the power button and it will shut off, turn it back on and repaet until it loads. It may partially load a couple times until the caps get warm enough that their voltages return to close to normal so it will load all the way. This is not a repair but a way to get back into the computer so you can backup your data before having the board repaired or replaced. This has worked several times on the computer I am working on for a customer, the motherboard needs replacing and that is going to be the best solution for my customer.

Dell xps touch sreen just blinking blue light but blank screen

Sounds like it went to sleep due to low battery power. May be time for a new battery if it isn't holding charge well.

Plug it into the wall and push the power button once. It may come back on. If not...

Hold the power button down until the machine shuts off completely. If that doesn't work, remove the battery.

Dell XPS M2010 Starting Problems

If they've changed everything else, why didn't they replace the power supply? That's the next part to target for replacement, other than the on/off switch (or button) itself. With no system board beep codes it's apparent that the mobo isn't gettting any juice at all.

Also try disconnecting everything from the mobo but the power supply - including pulling add-on cards. One or more attached devices may be contributing to the problem. If it comes to life start adding things back until it fails - you've just identified the culprit.

Good Luck!

Dead pc

try to remove all external device connected to your computer. just leave the keyboad, mouse and monitor connected.
restart computer.
if still a blank screen
remove everything connected to your computer (mouse kyeboard and monitor) restart if nothing happens
open your computer and remove all devices (hard drive, optical drives, memory... restart,,, you should be hearing beeping sounds indicating motherboard is looking for memory. try putting back 1 memory at a time and checking all mem slot. to identify if one of the memory could be causing the blank screen. if both memory will not work try to use known good working memory. if you dont get to hear the beeping sound using a known good working memory. your memory is the problem.
give me more info
