Black screens When i turn my DS on both screens stay black and do not do anything. The green power light is on though. Before it would turn on but lagg and pause heaps and go way slow. But now the screens stay black.
I was playing my Wii normally when it suddenly turned off, and when I tried to turn it on again, even though the power light turns green, it doesn't even go into the safety warning screen (where you have to press A), the screen just stays black. I've tried getting a new power cable AND connecting it to another socket, but I still haven't gotten it back. What is the problem? Can it be fixed?I was playing my Wii normally when it suddenly turned off, and when I tried to turn it on again, even though the power light turns green, it doesn't even go into the safety warning screen (where you have to press A), the screen just stays black. It sounds like the screens connection to the board is messed up in some way. Maybe something came loose and you could fix it by opening it up. Most likely though there is nothing you can really do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Last DS I had that did this was fried and I binned it. I tried all sorts of motherboard repairs but it just didn't affect anything. If it's that new just send it back for replacement.
Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.
Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)
If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.
The alarm is just a coincidence i suspect, green light comes on and stays on probably not the battery at fault. It would be red. If the green light goes out and screens just flash one of your screens are at fault or a loose ribbon connection.
For GBA games the green light is meant to stay on. The orange light will stay on as long as its recharging. It will turn off when its fully recharged or when you unplug it
does it make the boot up sound? if so its a fault with your screen..can replace screens for £7.50 off ebay. try re- inserting ribbon cable for screen b4 buying new screen tho (could be that). if you can't hear bootup sound when powering up then something else wrong. maybe F1 or F2 fuse blown (test with a multi meter) look on youtube for tutorial
