Question about Televison & Video
Thanks for using FixYa. I believe it is the power supply board that needs to be replaced if you have already checked that for bulged/swollen capacitors, resistors etc…Modern power supplies are fairly complex devices (far more than a transformer and a few diodes) and are fussy about certain components (electrolytic capacitors) they require. It cannot be the main board as the sound is perfectly fine from the TV.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

This is an overheat problem; Unplug the tv then Remove the tv back cover then: look for an extra-hot i.c.chip
Then; using a fan cool the back of the tv circuit board where you found the hotspot and, carefully turn the tv on.
The tv should come on if the circuit boards are cold; let me know what you find

however the first place to go is the solder connections on the deflection board.
Remove the panel,On each picture tube neck is a deflection yoke with a plug in connector on the right side. This connector plugs into a small circuit board and on the back side of the where the pins are solder you may see 'ring cracks' on the top two pins. Those are for vertical. If bad they are causing the no picture. You will have to use a small mirror to even see them. And they a almost impossible without rotating the yoke. Once you do that repositioning the yoke is real tricky and if done incorrectly you will get colored ghosts of the color of the particular yoke you moved.
And just try to put the solder on the deflection board to set the loose solder right..This should solve your issue
If you mess with all of that a professional tech will have to charge more to correct for problems you have induced. Sorry, but I don't really believe this is a repair for the handiest of all but professionals.
Please leave me comment, fi you need further assistance
