Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Wii won't "take in" disks.

A game disk got stuck in the console. My son puled it out and now we cannot insert any disk. It sounds like the motor is going to start, but it does not ingage and pull in the the disk.

There is a trigger switch that the disc hits when it is inserted, this tells the consol to pull the disc in, when a disc is ejected the proper way the system retracts the trigger so the disc can be ejected, By pulling the disc out with force your son has either broken the trigger and the consol cannot tell that a disc is inserted, or he has pulled the trigger backwards and the disc is not making contact with the trigger...You will have to disassemble the consol to inspect the trigger (unless you can see it threw the slot) and either place it in its proper setting or super glue it back together.. Another option is to send it in for repair...Hope this helps

When I insert a disk into my wii console, it will accept the disk, make a clicking sound and then eject the disk. This happens with every wii game i've tried. Any suggestions?

my friend,Christina, had the same problem, but didn't handle it right. SHE threw it on the ground. Don't do that. Just take it into GameStop. Then you can either get it fixed, or you can trade it in for a new Wii.

Wii unable to accept/eject disc making buzzing sound

  • When the disks were put in/taken out the little plastic clips in side the wii may have broken off. Might be stuck near the motor. Gently shake while rotating the the wii with all the cords off with no game inside. listen for anything loose. If your lucky the piece will go to another part of the wii. Best thing is to find someone to take it apart to check.

My nephew got a game cube disc stuck into our wii console...any suggestions on how to get it out??

I might try holding the deck in the right position (as it would sit on table) and tap it till i thought the disk was at the bottom for sure...then take a a icecream stick and inserting it at the top all the way in (so you can still grip it well) swing it 45 degrees downward and just try to roll it out....good luck....also if you thing you need to dissemble it to retrieve the small disk....search WII MOD CHIPS on youtube ...there are many vids on how to take it apart.

Wii wont play disk

When the Wii takes in a disk two metal fingers rise up to block the opening. These probably got bent when your two year old tried inserting the second disk. If they are bent they will rub the edge of the disk and prevent it from rotating. If a smaller game cube disk will work then bent fingers is the most likely problem. They can be bent back out.

Gamecube disk stuck in Wii console

If there is a game stuck inside the system, nintendo will want to have it come in for repair so they can safely remove it and get it back to you, if youve had it with in a year they should do the fix for free. Give them a call and see what they have to offer.

Hi guest n mikec1993 i had this problem with a new console i brought for my son for xmas. Try cleaning the laser with a cd cleaning disk also wash the disks with luke warm water and a spot of washing up liquid then dry thouroughly before inserting disk into console for some unknown reason the laser dosen't read the disk even when it looks clean. Remember to wipe disk from the inside out lightly i found a old cotton tea cloth works best.
