We have a 50 liter tank that filled up to 4300 psi. in 7 min. how many scfm is my compressor putting out?

Use this method to determine the fill rate.

The data provided did not provide start and stop pressure. The above method will get you there. Your cubic foot volume on the 50 liter tank is 1.7647 cubic feet to save you some calculations.

How do I increase the pressure on my Flotec FP711OT-08. It is low 40s psi, can I move it up to 50 psi or high 50 psi? Water pressure throughout the house is low.

There may be a pressure setting on your outfit but My feeling is -- your problem will be low pressure on your water line. Most pressure settings is to keep from having too much pressure on what your running. For instance our city water pressure is 70 lbs but in order to keep my furnace boiler system at 16 lbs I have to install a pressure reducer.

Porter cable 6 gal pressure switch. safety valve blows when tank filling

Depending on the pressure in the tank when the safety valve releases, the problem is likely your pressure switch. If the pressure is at or above 160 psi when it blows, then the problem is the switch. If the pressure is lower, then it is likely a faulty safety valve. There are about 8 versions of this machine. check on dewalt service net for the correct part. you may need to check ebay if the part is nla thru dewalt.

I have a new 1 hp utiltech pump and a new. Precharged tank with 34 psi in it now. When i prime the pump the pressure goes right to 25 psi and i can hear some water moving . When i open the shut off valve...

The 34 psi of the pressure tank sounds high, but it depends on what the cut-in pressure is set at in the pump pressure switch. Typically the pressure switch is for 20-40 psi or 30-50 psi. To establish what the pre-charge of tank should be , you need to establish what the pressure switch setting are (i.e 20 - 40 psi , etc.) Run the water and watch the pressure gauge and note at what pressure the pump comes on. The pressure tank needs to be pre charged 2 -4 psi below that cut-in pressure. So if the cut-in pressure is say 30 psi, then the tank needs to be pre charged to 28 psi.
To pre charge the pressure tank, turn the pump off. Drain the pressure tank of water to relieve all pressure in the tank. Then check the pressure of the tank at the air valve. Set the pressure to 2 psi below what the cut-in pressure is.
If you adjust the pressure switch, say from 20-40 to 30-50, you will need to go through the procedure of re adjusting the pressure in the tank. I hope this helps....

Problem with pump?

The pump pressure switch should be checked to see what the ON-OFF pressure is set at. Typically the pressure switch is set for 20-40 psi, or 30-50 psi. The pressure tank should be purged as well. With the pump OFF, and the tank drained of water, the air valve on the tank should read approximately 2 psi below the "on pressure". So if the system operates at 20-40, the tank should be pre-charged to 18 psi. If water escapes from the air valve, the internal bladder in the tank is ruptured, and the tank needs to be replaced. A tire air gauge is used to measure the pressure in the tank after the water is emptied from the tank.. A tire air pump or a compressor is used to charge the tank. if a compressor is used, be careful not to over-inflate the tank, as this may cuase the bladder to rupture.

Whats the routine for fitting a new expansion tank? HELP At what pressure should the overpressure relief valve lift?

Hello, not know the size of your system I can only give you the standard answer. Most expansion tanks are sized by the amount of water they will hold, however a rule of thumb has been a smaller 4 zone system will have a 7 gallon tank with 12 psi charge. Larger systems will sometime go has much as 30 gallons but, the charge is still 12psi. The relief valve should be a 30psi set but, again on larger systems it will be 50 psi. The 12psi is a standard auto fill valve max and you want to match the charge of the expansion tank to the auto fill valve setting. Hope this helps.

My shallow well pump starts and stops way to often. How much pressure should I have on my pressure tank

I would like to know what size tank you have and how you use it? I have always set my pumps pressure switch at 30 psi. on and 50 psi. off. But you may have different settings. What I do is set pressure in tank at 2 psi below on pressure. In my pump it is set at 28 psi. Hope this helps. Thanks

I have a model FP209501 Air Compressor 2 Gallon,

2 gallons is small to begin with u need to buy an in line pressure adjuster/regulator their a few bucks and can be attached to the paint gun or line and will keep the pressure at ur adjustment the regulator on the tank sets the tank pressure at 50 so when u us it will let it drop down to about 45 than start up to build the pressure up to 50 than shuts off than repeats it self the inline keeps pressure steady even if tanks are at 200 psi

Air tank (underneath house) does not push water out of spigot in sinke or refridgerator.

You need to test the air pressure with the tank totally empty, remove the tube that is going into the tank and open the tank valve to release all water, if water is in tank and does not come out your bladder is finished and you will need a new tank, if you are able to get all the water out then you need to test PSI again and it needs to be between 7-10 psi, this way when the bladder fills up again with water that pressure will be the ideal 40-50 psi.
